Right on thank you!! Absolutely, I wanted to make a few simpler projects that were still really cool looking that anyone could do. Thanks so much for watching!
First off, this is fantastic! I see many applications to other projects. I recently failed making a xenomorph egg using PVA paper mache on a 3' balloon. Too many layers and way too much time and it was not even near as strong as I wanted it to be. Then it collapsed on me. I gave up but this method here could solve my problem and get it done fast. I'm currently thinking of a 5 gallon bucket wrapped with chicken wire to get the egg shape. Then a foam plastic wrap to smoothe it out and then the monster Mud. This is going to work. I'm on it. Thank you again for the amazing tutorials!
Love These! Sent a screenshot shot to my Buddy Joe @woodworkers diylemma to see if he might carve one like these out of wood. He's been doing some unique stuff. Absolutely loving the Channel! Keep Shining
Too bad I can't post pictures in the comments but I actually had a guy carve these out of wood already and they came out awesome! I'm so happy you're enjoying it. Absolutely I will! Thank you!
If you keep it in an air tight container it'll last you a few months. The mixture will produce mold after awhile so I'd check on it now and again. I get my clay from hobby lobby.
@@CarvalhoCreations Watched your video numerous times. Can you explain how you did the eyes? Obviously after putting on the monster mud strips, but kinda lost after that. Thanks! I've started my own three for our haunted hangar at Clow Airport in Bolingbrook, IL. Hope they come out as well as yours.
So after the monster mud dried completely, I just painted in a small circle with a dark green color, maybe the size of a dime, and then added the pupil to the center with straight black. Once that dried I took a more vibrant green and reinforce the iris with small jagged brush strokes to make them look more realistic. To finish I added a dot of white highlight and then using a liner brush and some watered down red paint added the veins in the corners of the eyes.
Bloody fantastic, I Luv Em !!!!!!!♥♥♥
Right on thank you!

Great project. They would be perfect for path guardians if you didn't want luminaries. They would also work in paper mache.

@@CarvalhoCreations That's Awesome 😎
Quick question re Monster mud. How long will it keep once mixed? and where do you get your air-dry modeling clay?
If you keep it in an air tight container it'll last you a few months. The mixture will produce mold after awhile so I'd check on it now and again. I get my clay from hobby lobby.
@@CarvalhoCreations thanks for the quick reply. I have to ask..................did you study art or are you self taught?
@LarryGreen-kz8it no problem brotha. All self taught man. Just a need to make stuff really 😄

I am also wondering, is there a reason you don’t just carve the teeth out of the spray foam? Is the clay easier?
I did originally but decided to skin the spray foam with clay for a smoother finish.
Oh thank you!! Thanks for responding!
@alieshawalker8497 my pleasure!
What is monster mud???
Monster mud is a combination of joint compound and latex paint. You can watch my monster mud witch video where I show you how to make it and apply it.
Me again 😂 do you suppose you could use burlap instead of the foam? I don’t have a spare cushion! 😂
You can use anything soft that will work as a barrier. I'd do a couple layers of burlap but it should work.
@@CarvalhoCreationsok! Thanks! I have leftover stuff, just not foam 😂
