Thank you so very much for picking up all that garbage in the bottom of our preciousLlake Tahoe. I hope that ring was worth something to reward you for your good work of cleaning up the water!
Awesome video brother! So much fun to watch. The “herds” were hilarious. What a nice ring too.👍🏼💍 And the clip of you riding your jet pack around was awesome. Really cool footage. Good times man, always fun to watch!!. Wednesdays at three, you know where I’ll be.👍🏼
I am glad you enjoy them, more metal detecting videos are coming so stay tuned. Question: Are you Frank or are you calling me Frank? Thanks for tuning in, signed Mark
Thanks Emily, Everything I pick up is trash. I take all electronics not because I love ruined cell phones, but because of the batteries are toxic. I always leave the water with as much as I can carry safely.
Always love watching your vids! I'm really liking these longer length vids lately. Looks like you took my advice from before! Haha I'm from Roseville CA, one day I may run into you on the American River or out at Folsom.
I am fortunate that in California diving can easily be a year round sport, and I do dive year round. The Treasure hunting areas are less accessible in winter. I switch to ocean diving where the water temps in winter are high 40'sF to low 50'sF . Always good to hear from you!
I have no desire to "ice dive" here in the winter... I wish I could dive year round.. I may just have to take a winter trip somewhere sunny and warm so I can beat the "cabin fever" here!
This was definitely a cool dive. Have you thought about carrying a small sifting shovel or bucket? That might help you collect the targets easier. The ring was cool. I'm pretty sure it's an emerald. I think Tahoe is the only body of water I'd consider diving in. It's clear enough. I was amazed as to how many crawdads were in one spot. Thank you for sharing your dives, they are fun to watch.
@@mokpot True. However, I could have thought about being in a fluid state and that you need some sort of gravity to get leverage to scoop. I haven't been in water in many years.
I always enjoy your post, such cool finds. The Crawfish herds are amazing and their huge. Our Crawfish back here a small, half the size of yours! Goodness sakes that's glasses galore, alot of squinting people out there 😎. The ring is a awesome find, some poor gal is sad over losing that one.
How fun of a hobby to have,no digging like on land and look at the things you get to see ! Nice ring, emeralds are beautiful stones,my mom has old ones.
Hi Dawn, thanks for taking time to comment. Yes I enjoy my hobbies very much. Scuba diving offers the opportunity to see some many amazing things. Metal detecting, you never know what you will uncover next!
I’m so glad you checked that ring I thought you might just dismiss it and loose out. This is my first time on your page but I will see you again I really enjoyed your videos
Hi Robert, I am guessing here, perhaps they see and hear me coming? I have seen large schools of fish in the northern parts of the lake. Also Trout seem to be the predominant fish and they are shy. Bass are curious and will come and see what you are about.
Could watch your videos for hours, I also pick up any rubish I see, I call it Kama pick up the trash and you will be rewarded (eventualy) Great videos, keep them coming, From New Zealand , GL &HH
This looks like so much fun wish I could do it. I tried to go to classes to learn how to dive but would panic with all the stuff on my face. So do you sell what ever you can like the glasses and rings? Love the videos and how clear the water is makes it even better. Have you ever had someone hire you to look for something they have lost? Looks like you could make some extra money diving. Thanks for sharing with us your hunts I know it cost money to do these dives.
I have never sold anything, but have given away a bunch of stuff. Fishing gear, paddles, and glasses mostly. I am considering a giveaway to subscribers soon.. Glad to have you tuning in!
I have a friend that has been diving looking for a $27,000 ring. I don't really feel sorry for the person who lost it because who wears a ring like that on the river? Plus they have insurance to cover it but still.
Amazing hunt! The ring is gorgeous. I found my first gold this last summer too, i know that feeling of joy. Looks like i am gonna watch lot's of your videos today. so glad i found you. Cheers!
I'm glad you found me too. Congratulations on your first gold! Valuable metals are always exciting to find. I watched your coin spill video, any more detecting videos coming? Good to hear from you.
Aww thank you for watching my video. It was over 50 coins under the tree. They say money doesn't grow on the tree, but how about under? (smile). It is so cold that i'm not sure about detecting here. But i do plan trip to Punta Cana. Hopping for some treasure.
Just found your site. Love it. I would be looking at all the interesting things people leave on purpose or not. Check the dates on your coins They may be valuable too. I like to look for treasures too. Love the ring, classically simple. A jeweler can polish the stone for you. Looking forward to your videos . Thank you.

Glad to see you back. Why don't you buy one of those plastic sand scoops and a pin pointer it would pay for its self on one dive and you would get more targets
Hey Roger, I have a steel hand held sand scoop that you will see is an upcoming video. I ended up returning to fanning by hand, at this site it worked better. I think a plastic scoop would be nice because I could run my loop over it. Perhaps in the future... Good to hear from you!

Exciting video! So much coins under the water, beautiful ring! Antique rings look fake but some r gold n worth alot of money, n antique rings sometimes r not stamped. I bet that stone is real.
It's an Emerald, they always look scratched up and usually you'll see some small cracks on gemmy cuts. My dad's Emerald ring is of similar size but he chipped a tiny piece off next to the bezel. That should be quite valuable! Great video am subscribing hope you do land metal detecting too!
LAKE TAHOE , AT 31 SECONDS INTO THE FILM I SAW THE DRUM AND ENGINE BLOCK , IT IS EAST SIDE OF LAKE TAHOE NEAR THE NORTH INCLINE VILLAGE .... I DOVE THERE 1987-95 ..... CLEAR AND BEAUTIFUL TOO ........
Hi Carla, I have tried a scoop. Problem is that when underwater you are essentially weight less, so when you push the scoop you move more than the scoop.

Beautiful clear water, & no predators to worry about ? Random fact: About 25 years ago I had a new windscreen fitted to my car. The window guy found a 9ct gold mens ring jammed in the silicone against the dash. I think my car proposed to me ?
I haven't caught up on enough of your back videos yet to know the answer, but I'm guessing you only take the metal detector on lake dives because of the currents at the rivers...?
If you ever find a nice silver watch with diamonds on the South Shore near Popes Beach - hit me up. I miss it. :( . Also- ever do Fallen Leaf Lake? I bet under the docks would be a hot spot as well as where the water joins with Eagle Falls.
No one puts a low grade Emerald in a 22K setting . My mom was in the jewelry business and I learned a lot from her . That's a score . It's a more modern setting 1 to 15 years or so and the stone is over 2 carats . That ring probably cost at least 4 grand in a retail store and if purchased up there closer to 6 grand . Depending on the quality of the stone it could be 2 to 3 times that value in a retail high end store . Check for makers marks , if it's signed by a well known maker then you really scored . Good job .
Have you ever tried whiskeytown lake CA ? Theirs an area called "oak bottom" there, I think you'd find alot of stuff dating back to the 90s or longer as there is a lake under that town there. Let me know if you make it that way. I messenged you earlier on another video of the 4:41 part about the ring.
Oh! Hi, I'd like to place an order for some RayBans....😂😂😂 Sorry it was funnier in my head....then again my head is funny so..... **?SQUIRREL!!!** 😂😂😂😂
Andie lol. I think it’s awesome. And I think it’s killer to see you over here on Mokpot’s channel. He has some great videos, and always puts on a great show.👍🏼 SQUIRREL! 😂🤣😂👍🏼
Andie where I live, it’s a recreational spot. So my “suppliers” have stopped coming. So there’s nothing much to find. I may get in the water one more time, just to do a little cleanup. Or I may do a “best of the summer finds”But my next video will be Saturday just to announce the winners of the contest. And we ❤️ you too!! Right Mokpot!? Thank you for watching and subscribing.👍🏼😉
that lake bottom all silt , do you know how deep the silt is ? looked like a classic 1930's boat engine. . very interesting. going under boats scary, ritual human ash dump , lost its charm.
The bottom it sand, in spots there is a silty layer no more than a 1/4 inch deep. just a few waves of the hand and you hit the sand. Now I will confess that the idea that the area is an ash dump did NOT occur to me at all, I suppose it could very well be, is that where the ring came from? The area has dozens of engine blocks that were used as anchorage weights. Thanks for tuning in!
thanks, as to the ring, the mortician would have kept that and any gold teeth , body parts have value research , ACL , we dont get burned or buried with anything of value. ha ha
What is the water temp there? Being very new to diving (inspired to get certified from watching videos like this), I'd love to dive there some day in the near future. Love your videos, thanks for sharing!
lake of the sky appears to be a virgin area. I would expect areas near the dam to be good or any phased out beaches or marinas. The washoe tribe was there and fished. should be points in shallower areas and along banks. Silver Comstock Mine. Old logs are worth $$$$$ and logging was big during mine operation and the lake was used for all transportation. Old railway depot at tahoe tavern area. There were railroad tracks that surrounded the lake and tourists were dropped off at a multitude of stops. There was a myth that because of the altitude, you coudn't float in the lake. In 1950 that was dispelled. you can adjust where you look based on that.
where they dumped the ashes, you might find molten gold teeth - if the crematory worker who put teh ashes into the urn hasn´t "found" them before you...
@@mokpot why? what is the problem? this gold teeth served the person who wore them as long a s they lived, and now they don´t need them any more. gold is and has always been in a recycling process, so chances are pretty high that also your own wedding band at least partly consists of recycled gold from such a source amongst a lot of others (like broken jewellery, old computer parts...).
@@mokpot I was at a night time jewellery class once and this creepy dentist guy was melting gold teeth in the class to “make a ring for his wife” ewwwww the thought of it!!
Nice ring ! I found a real nice gold necklace and cross with my Garret , on land though , love the scuba hunts ! P.S. I live by Hangtown , are you a local ?
I am 30-35 minutes from Sac. so I suppose that would be local. I usually roam the Sierras to the Tahoe area, down to Monterey area. I land hunt occasionally but prefer the water, less competition. I appreciate you taking time to comment!
Hey Michael, Yes this was one dive, about 1 hour 15 minutes. I use High pressure steel 80 and 100 cubic inch tanks. This link is to my video about my gear th-cam.com/video/DNaRD-H1MY4/w-d-xo.html Thanks for tuning in.

Something I learned years ago thought I should pass it along...A person I knew lived in India for a year.. The Natives of this country are either extremely wealthy or opposite extremely poor.. zero middle class! The wealthy enjoy showing off their wealth as this gives them status to others..so it is nothing to see them wearing on one hand a huge emerald..ruby and a diamond ring and six other rings on the same hand of equal value.. However.. the jewelry doesn't have stamps.. that is something that one would see in the US and other parts of the world. .In fact pure gold they consider stamps in jewelry to be cheap.. This isn't the only region or country like this Egypt and other places are the same zero stamps in the jewelry.. Therefore.. on one of your finds ..if you locate jewelry without stamps this could prove to be a good find rather than a valueless item...Good Luck.. in your future hunts...nice video!

If you ever find a nice silver watch with diamonds on the South Shore near Popes Beach - hit me up. I miss it. :( . Also- ever do Fallen Leaf Lake? I bet under the docks would be a hot spot as well as where the water joins with Eagle Falls.
Sure thing, who is the maker of said watch?
@@mokpot Bulova Ladies Dress Watch- two tone, silver and gold with crystals around the face and diamonds on the face. Thanks!
mokpot Very kind of you too be open to helping find their watch. That is very kind. Nice to see people with heart
We have something similar to your crawdads here in Australia, we call them yabbies. I've never tasted one but I'd be willing to try. Lol
Hi Cathy... I have heard of Yabbies, I am not keen to try them. Glad to have you watching!
I am not keen to try Crawdads either.
Good job .
WOW, thanks for the information, I might finally sell something I found! Thank you.
Thanks for the heads up on whiskey Town.
@@mokpot of course anytime😁

Andie lol. I think it’s awesome. And I think it’s killer to see you over here on Mokpot’s channel. He has some great videos, and always puts on a great show.👍🏼
SQUIRREL! 😂🤣😂👍🏼
PolishMafia928 PolishMafia928 I found him thru you! Love him AND you! 😀😀 BTW when's your next video coming!!??😉😉😀😀😀
Great video
Thank you Carmel
@@mokpot your welcome 👍
that lake bottom all silt , do you know how deep the silt is ? looked like a classic 1930's boat engine. . very interesting. going under boats scary, ritual human ash dump , lost its charm.
Summer time temp in the low 60's above the thermocline... Glad to have you watching, see you in the water!
Using Garrett equipment, top of the line. All I use on land and in water.
You need a scoop. That would help a lot. Keep up the good work.
Nice finds
Thanks DTM, I appreciate you tuning in and taking time to comment!
That is a gold ring with either an emerald or jade stone.
Hi Shirley, yes, you have a good eye...it is an emerald. Yhank you for tuning in and taking time to comment
Hiya +mokpot .. I really enjoyed this video and getting to see the Genesis in action, if you don't mind me asking, how deep was this dive?
This dive was pretty shallow, most of it was at around 20 feet, I believe 45 feet was the deepest I saw. Thnks for tuning in
Nice honey hole for coins!
Indeed it is!
lake of the sky appears to be a virgin area.
Lake of the Sky?
@@mokpot The Washoe indians named this Ta hoo ee which translates to Lake of The Sky. They were there for about 1300 years give or take.
ok... you are talking about Lake Tahoe...
@@mokpot yessir
@@mokpot I lived there in the 1800's
where they dumped the ashes, you might find molten gold teeth - if the crematory worker who put teh ashes into the urn hasn´t "found" them before you...
Dude.... gruesome!
Mokpot you could use a scoop sifter to help you with all the small things and coins in the sand
Tried it several times. THe problem is that when submerged, as I push the scoop into the sand it pushes me away.
mokpot as much as I hate to say it how bout a childs sand sifting toy
? Kept me interested I was wondering when that hold run out or if you had to leave
Thanks for tuning in!!!!
You went deep in those holes and pulled out an amazing amount of coinage , some of it must have been older, was there any silver ?
Surprisingly no silver...
Have you planned on living at Lake Tahoe? That way you can scuba dive all the time?
No, Lake Tahoe is beautiful, but it is close to dive ONLY Lake Tahoe. I like to scuba dive many different places. Thanks for tuning in!
Was that just 1 dive? What size tank do you use?
Hey Michael, Yes this was one dive, about 1 hour 15 minutes. I use High pressure steel 80 and 100 cubic inch tanks. This link is to my video about my gear th-cam.com/video/DNaRD-H1MY4/w-d-xo.html Thanks for tuning in.
mokpot - Thank you for your reply. I just watched that video as well.
you're welcome, thanks for taking the time to correspond.
Period
Spectacular spectacle haul!
😍😍
do you ever see any fish in that lake ?
Oh yes! They do not ofter hang around to be videoed though Most of the footage I get of them is them quickly swimming away
Was that crawl dad's by the bucket loads?
Yep! Or the pot full...?
Have u gone diving in pyramid lake?
The one on the mountian up the Grapevine? Not yet, but I have been thinking about it... It is a long way to go... Can you recommend it?
Clear lake diving is a treasure, hard to find unpolluted water now.
I love the mountain lakes because they are often clean and clear, thanks for tuning in!
where did you get the little yellow zipper bag ?? THANKS
Hi, Tanks for tuning in... The bags are weight pouches for a Zeagle Ranger buoyancy compensator. I hope that helps!
Thanks...you helped a lot !! www.diverightinscuba.com/yellow-mesh-weight-pouch-15251.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw2f7bBRDVARIsAAwYBBsUyT4eAj1FGObIxXDV0f2dYBw6Rth5fm-dQG6d0PSW3U5P--S1RAsaAhNGEALw_wcB
Thanks for the info, I appreciate you taking time to comment.
