I am obsessed with Sabaton, been a Nightwish fan for over 20 years, been a fan of Sabaton well over 10 years. Sabaton is not political , their Mantra is, Lest We Forget. They sing about the sacrifices, heroics, of mostly known and little known military history. They do have a history channel called Sabaton History, it dose explain the history behind a lot f their songs. Check out the official video, Bismarck or Christmas Truce, the animated story videos of No Bullets Fly, Night Witches, if you want to see more crowd interaction, 40-1 Woodstock, Poland over 700,000 +fans. I spent a month in Japan in 1993 playing country music of all things :-) we actually were a bunch of rockers that played country because it paid well. I think you guys are beginning to see that some of the best music in the world is on the other side of the pond. I am from the United States also and two years ago I discovered a lot of these bands and I haven't turned my back since I barely listen to any music from the United States anymore.
Scott, I couldn’t agree with you more! I’m so happy to have found this band through a friend and the other bands that are in that orbit. I gave up on music a while back simply because I didn’t think it was well written well thought out or well executed. These European bands do all of that and remind me of the stuff I listen to in the 70s but with a more modern sound obviously.
