While this proves that a lot of things are missing from mario builder 64, like cannons, chain chomps, and other neat objects, the object given in this is more than enough to satisfy someone's heart.
@@dultzywaltzy well, everything in Mario Builder 64 is alligned to a grid, so the only way for these to appear would be to have some form of spinning object in the level
Those aren't actually dreams, they are OBEs/astral projection. You're temporarily in a parallel universe which is why there are slight differences to everything. It happens to me and lots of other people too. :)
@@JanitorAntisocial I was referring to how the stage is obviously built like a grid. But sure, "Super Mario 64" controlling like "Bubsy 3D" would be amusing to see.
Dude it's soooooo trippy to see King Bob Omb and Koopa the Quick active at the same time lol but go figure you'd kinda have to do it this way to get it all in there.
I always would just stop trying to get around him for a little bit until he would let me get behind him. Never knew exactly how it worked since the game doesn't tell you.
@stevoisiak to be honest me neither lol though I was a clever little 6 year old I figured out if you allowed him to walk towards you for a few steps he stops doing the pivot thing and if it didn't work it was cuz I didn't wait long enough idk how little me was smart enough to figure it out when I wqs too dumb for everything else but video games and math xD
I'm so ready to see Koopa the Quick and King Bob-omb throw down. Also, don't listen to people saying this is inaccurate. Knowing what you have to work with (basically Minecraft for those that don't know), this is pretty good, except Idk what this platform at 4:25 is about. Of course I'm judging it from memory too, so what do I know?
I don't know. Did the person who created this not even try to be accurate, or was it done bad on purpose under the pretense of being "from memory"? I seriously doubt someone who has even only moderate experience with the game actually thought that this is genuinely what the level is like.
I thought it was a pretty good recreation based on the tools Mario Builder gives you. If you think you can improve it, I encourage you to download the mod and try building your own recreation.
My personal YT account recommended this. I did a whole double take of “wait, that’s not my video” I’m so happy to see others playing this!!
It's a fun level! I had to double take when I saw the bomb clip sign
It's extremely faithful to the original, I'm amazed!
Played it my most recent vid if ur interested. Don’t wanna sound like I’m self promoing tho
@@Stevoisiak Wait if there's preset dialogue options then that's one of them??? lmao
@@Zyborggian Yes, I believe bomb clip is one of the presets.

this feels like it would be a version of bob-omb battilefield in b3313
literally
Feels like a 3D Land/3D World version of Bob-omb Battlefield.
i thought it was cus i saw the thumbnail first 😭
I bet this has less invisible walls than the original
It may depend on whether then are tiny geometry misalignments on the version
@@dultzywaltzy well, everything in Mario Builder 64 is alligned to a grid, so the only way for these to appear would be to have some form of spinning object in the level
there are four. the bounds.
@@buzinaocara oh, yeah, those ARE invisible walls
though, they're probably talking about invisible walls beyond the four obvious ones
@@arekrekas213 I was being cheeky.
This feels like the sort of Bob-Omb Battlefield one would imagine in a fever dream after staying home from school due to the flu.
It's like one of those dreams where you false wake-up in your bedroom and it's generally the same but minor details are off

3:15 the platform at the goomba: "You are my friend now" and take it away
This looks as if "Super Mario 64" was running on a modified "Tomb Raider" engine.
Okay hear me out:
SM64 with tank controls

Wanna know something funny? This is the only level in the game that doesn't have a Blue Coin Switch
Dude it's soooooo trippy to see King Bob Omb and Koopa the Quick active at the same time lol but go figure you'd kinda have to do it this way to get it all in there.
It feels like someone mixed in parts of Tall, Tall Mountain and Bob-Omb Battlefield together.
Those Bob-omb Buddies are less than helpful.
You can only choose from pre-set dialogue options in Mario Builder, so the NPCs tend to be fairly generic.
You know maybe it's better created on hogram that making a living here@@Stevoisiak
It's weird how i know exactly how Bobomb Battlefield looks like, yet I'm still like "Hmmm, is this is it, yeah, no?"
Amazing level!
It’s like when you’re dreaming and the places in real life look slightly different
I'm fairly certain you can do the rolling balls in builder but otherwise you did pretty decent.
0:18 bro immediately starts racing no words needed
It makes sense for the boss platform to be smaller well done!
why does nobody ever realize you need to let King Bob-omb start moving before he stops pivoting towards you-_-
I always would just stop trying to get around him for a little bit until he would let me get behind him. Never knew exactly how it worked since the game doesn't tell you.

It's pretty easy to not realize that, chode

I just crouch and when he gets close to me I back flip and then I grab him
KtQ: "What are you doing here?"
KBB: "Me? What are YOU doing here?"

Mario: "...I can explain."

It's Due To The Limits Of The Mario Builder 64 Mod. It's Accurate (Enough) For What It's On.
I thought it was a pretty good recreation based on the tools Mario Builder gives you. If you think you can improve it, I encourage you to download the mod and try building your own recreation.
It's probably a mix of mario builder limitations and not having played the level in a long time. It's not that serious bro.
