They have some public patreon posts about pathfinding and I don't think this will cause any issues. the pathing is based on the footprint of the object, so it will change dynamically as the objects change too.

Oh also! I love how the game goes beyond just being aesthetically pleasing, and how even players who don't fancy themselves builders will be able to make use of these tools - they are so intuitive! I'm more the type who cares about gameplay before anything else, but with tools like these I can see myself spending hours or days happily building, too. Ahhh I'm just so excited!!
