Yeah, plus I think it would adorable also if Weiss were to ever adopt a child, that child being a fanus to show how much Weiss has grow towards the fanus. Also Weiss would be a great mom or try to be judging from how she was raise and wouldn’t want that to happen to her children.

15:29 Actually, you can still make the Oscar thing work by having the kids completely misunderstand how the reincarnation process works and they are basically trying to emotionally find closure from someone who can’t give them any because of the fact that he at best knows Oscar’s thoughts, not feels them, similar to how Oscar experiences Ozpin’s memories.
That’s very interesting, the kids search for someone who only exists in memory and stories, but only finds the soul that was bound to him. That’s pretty sorrowful now that I think of it
Dang it, this idea now makes me hate the fact that we were introduced to Ospin’s reincarnation by him just telling people what it is instead of a variation of this idea except with Ospin.
Or Oscar would die and Ruby needs to realize that he’s not coming back and would search and laser beam Grimm with her eyeballs and kill people who had people that reminded her of Oscar and Ruby would be the main villain like how Salem tried to get Ozma back.
Plot twist: They all exist in the same universe and it makes for the juicest family drama ever

All I can think of for Toto Rose is how troublesome she would be for Ruby and Oscar if she unlocked her semblance at a young age. I just get the image of a baby stuck to the roof while they’re frantically searching the room :)

ID honestly love if Twiins did a character design video on Genshin Impact, the amount of detail and color on each of the characters is simply breathtaking. Really catches the eye. And it'll be a breath of fresh air not having to discuss crappy RWBY design for her LOL.

Aspen is SUCH a cute mesh of Ruby's and Oscar's designs ;v; Just an adorable girl, all around! Spring is also so so cute! Giving them both freckles is an A+ decision, and I feel you on weapons being sucky to draw. Since I usually draw comedic comics, if I HAVE to have a weapon in there, sometimes I literally just do a bad doodle and draw a sticky note that says "gun" xD Purpurrot looks so classy! Love the cravat and long ponytail! Naga has such a great color palette, though my favorite aspect is definitely the bow on the back of her head! I'm a big sucker for bows :D
All of Critter's are so cute as well, aaa ;v; Posie makes me think of a ballerina, very graceful but also cute. Especially the braids! The Dianna & Tazzie are fantastic! I adore how different they are but still recognizable as twins! And Dianna as the antagonist? o: DRAMA!! It's also so neat to see Jade as another take on a Ruby/Oscar daughter. :D Critter's elaborations on the weapons is so captivating, wow!! :o I LOVE hearing about little details and lore of weapons/tools (drawing them is a different beast :p)
OH MY GOSH Allison's style??? Goodness I love it, it's right up my alley! Toto Rose is another cutie - possibly my favorite cutie?? I'm a sucker for more frilly outfits, but the bows + pigtails + sporty look is just TOO good. All three Rose Garden kids should meet, hehe. Aria looks so cool - I feel her and Naga would get along! Her story is especially awesome with her fairytale, and a really unique take! Melody looks so cozy, and fit for Atlas' cold climate. Luna evoking skating vibes is such a great way to combine ice with grace! It'd also be interesting for Dianna and Luna to meet, especially since Luna is the daughter of a Schnee o:
I love hearing all of the different fairytale inspirations for the characters. I feel like it's something that's missing a bit from more modern day RWBY, which is a shame bc it's one of my favorite aspects of the show. Seeing the different semblances is also awesome! Another great brainstorming exercise! :D I've love to think of names for each of the semblances.

A fun way i thought you could possibly incorporate Spring’s Princess and the Pea inspiration is by using her semblance in turn with ozma/ozpins/oscars gear/clock symbolism.
Say in her weapons there is gear/clock built in and when she starts to use her semblance she turns on the gear/clock and you hear it clicking (more used for an audio cue and way to have it so she has a limited amount of time it is active - similar to tock’s) and who ever is being affected by Spring’s semblance will feel exhausted/sleepy - and to incorporate petals in some way it can be that her semblance has an AoE affects that makes pea plants and petals appear around the person /people she uses it on
And to keep it more based and not too overpowered you can have it where if she uses it too much she feels tired as well and so she can’t use it constantly but enough where it will still be fun in battle

Twiins had my exact thoughts on a Weiss relationship. Before I even started this video I went over who would be parents in my head and I realized that I don't ship Weiss with anybody in fact I realized I headcanon her as asexual and aromantic. But instead of Whitley and Marrow I would have picked Whitley and Cinder not because of any real story but only because I think it would be hilarious if Cinder had a kid in next gen Team RWBY.
Also this video was really fun! I loved seeing all of the designs and the characters you all made!

And I know I’m gonna get hate for saying that and some one is gonna try to point out “no, it’s like, a total sibling thing.”, but I don’t care. No one is changing my mind. The way things are going now, I do see WK being A POSSIBILITY. But that’s it
I think another idea for what Spring's semblance could be, tying in with her fairy tale is that she could siphon other people's energy (in small doses). Since the Princess didn't get enough sleep because of the pea, she could be generally tired, but have a reserve of energy that she can take from other people.

A cute Idea for Spring is that instead of just Weiss being her inspiration Spring could also get her swordsmanship(?) Lessons from Rubys two closes friends who ironicaly use swords. Jaune(rubys actual first firend) and Weiss(her first teamate). Maby also Penny rubys first friend outside Beacon but her sword fighting is more mage like than sword like.

Ok, now I' inspired to try to think up my own next generation team.
Plot twist though: instead of creating a pair of twins (even I do have an idea for that), I'd make the 4th member either Neo or Cinder's child. Thus the team is connected to our heroes..and a villain.
I got so excited when I saw this. I love to see y’all draw your Rwby designs it’s so fun! It’d be awesome to see y’all make the team JNPR to these RWBabies maybe adding in crazy crack ship children or something!
This whole thing got my brain sparking so be warned, wall of text below
Thoughts:
1) Purporrot strikes me as, from his stance, someone who may fight more along the lines of 'Bartitsu' the legitimate gentleman's martial art. A cobbled together fusion of aspects from various others focused around fighting in a suit with a cane. No I am not making that up.
Still possible to work in gravity abilities like you have but it might play into him trying to appear the refined, upper crust gentlefaunus to deny his doubters the opportunity.
2) Naga's Semblance: Is it a linear/exponential relationship between attack and defence? Would she start a battle turtling up to soak as many blows as possible in an endurance match before switching up her style to focus more on offense as each attack became more and more devastating to both parties? Also the statement you used of extreme damage from tripping over sounds like without her aura she would have been very frail as a child. Is that wrong?
3) Dianna: appearance is highly reminiscent of one of Juniors enforcers, Malachite I think it was? and then Fused with Kurumi Tokisaki from Date a Live. Do admit that I like the idea of one of the main casts children becoming an antagonist to be a fun trope. Especially if she where to find some of the mementos Blake kept of Adam.
4) Jade: what would count as a wall? Must she be in motion to use her ability or is there an emotional trigger of fear? The latter I find interesting because it would only really be useful in an urban setting against humanoid foes, grimm would just 'smell the fear' and chase her all the harder for it. Honestly she reads as the classical anti-hero who has to find the strength of will to stand up for her cause and fight.
5) Posie: The telescopic dagger/Bastard sword has a lot of potential, especially if she can decide ahead of time how many segments she had engaged at once. Swinging it around as a dagger in an enclosed space and extending it as she brings it down and has the room to. Launching a surprise attack when restrained as an impalement device. Heck if the slots exist even when fully extended then using them to release dust effects to enhance swordplay with various 'buffs' added to each swing/stab.
6) Zazzie: She'd still need to be strong enough to maintain a grip on that thing when she launches wouldn't she? Also she screams 'Collateral Damage: The Person' more than Nora does. Appropriate as while her inner quandary tears at her heart, she tears up literally everything else.
7) Toto Rose: The first thing that popped into my head was "Sotobro" a gimmick from Ben 10 of all places about sensing the changes in the time stream, maybe she nabbed the Time effect semblance from Spirit Uncle Ozma? Otherwise she is adorable yet sounds like she would skive off lessons to go have a kickabout.
*Later section has derailed half of that so never mind, thinking more...*
The semblance is fun and could make for some really cool choreography of her getting flung about and into a high ceiling by a melee fighter and she just gets comfy and takes some potshots at them, or something similar. Would her semblance apply to whatever she's holding as well so that she doesn't constantly feel like all of her things are about to fall out of pockets/holsters/decency whilst she's running around in blatant defiance of Newton?
8) Aria: With the whole emphasis on her muteness and that name i'm going to hazard a guess at some sort of vocal semblance, if we follow the mermaid/siren thing then perhaps a hypnotic song? As in when she starts singing she can send anyone who hears it into a trance and they amble towards her in a zombielike state? Perhaps an accident when younger led to it being discovered when she sang to her parents in the car and the resultant crash orphaned her and resulted in a trauma held to this day about her voice which Blake and Yank are slowly starting to help with.
*Again you're splitting of powers and design has derailed my thought train...*
Lodestar is an interesting name and I'll admit I like the thought of it unfurling into an almost deathstar like laser stick after being used to bludgeon some poor mook, very Yang evoking.
Her semblance i guess plays more into the idea of what lurks beneath the waters? I feel like a power that incredible would need some sort of catalyst to activate, like a body of water she can put her hand in?
9) Melody: so she carries an endless supply of darts on her person hidden throughout her outfit. She'd be a nightmare at security gates where she'd be asked to leave her weapon there if she was an honest girl. Guessing that each is laced with a sedative/tranquilizer agent to neutralise rather than kill, very governmental law enforcement. Wonder if she brews it herself as some form of chemical savant, would be an interesting trait to go gaga over the latest developments in material synthesis like ruby does weapons.
10) Luna: I don't quite get how she is four months older than her biological sister unless they went and got a surrogate mother before Winter was successful in getting preggers...
regardless the character; From what Allison said it sounds like there was some not so subtle inspiration from Neon in the show as a character always in motion when fighting, who has skates on their feet. Maybe Luna's a fangirl for the big showy huntress. In combat I love the idea of a Torvill and Dean type pair coming from one character.
I think i just wrote a small essay on spontaneous headcanons for characters i do not know beyond concept art in this video. oops.
Should go without saying but I mean absolutely no offence with any of this. The artists did fantastic work and I am just a nameless goon sitting behind a monitor.
I think the four months thing might be referring that they don't share any bio parents with each other. (Believe me I was very confused at first too)

Now that I’m looking back at the characters I have designed (none of them are complete, but one is almost completed), none of them are really too creative with their designs. Although now I have a few ideas for a new character...

Jade Pine (Love the design, Weapons, Semblance and Personality, 10/10)
Dianna & Tazzie Bella-Long (Same Reasoning)
Purpurrot Schnee (Like the story, design and semblance... as much as I question his existence)

If I REALLY had to pick favorites I’d have to go with Purrpurrot, (god what a hard name to spell) Naga, Posie & Toto (not necessarily in that order)

I can imagine Vacuo having Football or Kickball as a national sport; Vale would probably have Baseball or Softball; Atlas would probably have Fencing Tournaments and Managerie would do stuff like Track and Field.

All of these designs were so well thought out and clever! Each one impressed me so much with what you came up with. Dare I say more creative and witty than newer RWBY characters? Yes, yes I do.

Favs are Toto: a cutie that admires her mom and can see a world of darknees and the negativity on humanity the same way those beast who want nothing but destruction... and may pet some of them.
And Naga: love the dual colored hair and your explanation for her semblances looks fun, made me wish RWBY had some kind of RPG.
But really all of them are a joy. Team TAML looks like they fit in a fun slash of life and Sportsy Toto as an appropriate protagonist, someone fun to follow around who gets in all kinds of trouble. And the inate drama of team ADPT is cool, also bunny girls.Overall a fun ride. :V
I've been trying to make an OC team as well, though not the kids aha. I find semblances the hardest to come up with for some reason.
Semblances are either the thing I struggle with the most, or the first thing I think of. No in between

I don't have an OC team but I've been working on an OC RWBY villain based off of Jack be nimble, Jack be quick.
His name is Cassius Pyrmanteia and his semblance is Pyromancy. Cassius is a purple pigment and Pyr is greek for fire and manteia is greek for prophecy, so he has a purple and orange color pallete with some gray as well. His outfit is a combo of ancient greek/english fashion as well as some modern day pieces. His semblance, Pyromancy, lets him get fiery eyes and with them he can see just a second into the future, which is very handy for battle. He always wears dark sunglasses so it looks like he has glowing purple eyes. He can also switch his fire in his eyes to his feet, a reference to Jack jumping over a candlestick and it makes him move faster while sacrificing his 1 second glance into the future, he usually uses it as a boost forward/burst attack and then puts it on his eyes again. He also wields a broadsword and can channel his semblance into his weapon to shoot a big column of flame at his opponents causing devastation but at the price of he can't activate his semblance for a while again. I also have him greek greaves and a cool short gray cape with his orange emblem on it, some tangled thorny vines with a ball of fire inside it. He also has white hair as a reference to melting candle wax. Sorry, I just wanted to share my OC with someone lol

My favorites out of the bunch that I would mash together for my own cannon team would be Aspen, Toto (twin sisters), Poise, and Aria. I love their fairy tale inspirations and designs and details in the weapons/semblances the most. Aspens semblance being Grimm specific reflects the silver eyes with out being a cop-out is so creative. Aspen and Toto would be the great opposites for one wanting to be exactly like ruby while the other kinda hates it but both looking just like her. Posie's design and being Rapunzel is perfect! Aria is just badass in every aspect and would be such a cool daughter for bumblebee.
