Moved from Verizon to Mint Mobile 6 months ago. I live in rural Illinois and saw my download speeds go from 40 Mbps on Verizon LTE and 50-100 on Verizon 5G to 100-600 Mbps on Mint Mobile 5G. For my use Mint Mobile is reliable and has a plan that gives me what I need for a very reasonable cost.
I switched from Mint to Visible. Overall I liked Mint more. I live near St. Paul in Minnesota so I never had any problems with coverage with Mint. Visible has less bars for coverage when I’m not on WiFi and it’s a lot slower than Mint… very frustrating but cheaper. I’ve seriously considered switching back to Mint… best carrier I’ve ever had especially for the money. Mint’s customer service has been great to me too… whereas it is extremely difficult to get an actual person when dealing with Visible. You will get a person eventually, but it took about 40 minutes before a human connected with me. Mint is the better choice in my opinion and experience.
Visible is on the Verizon network which uses a different communication technology than Mint which is on the T-mobile network. T-mobile and AT&T both use the same technology.
