Bro these guys definitely weighed there packs, left a few heavy packs in there and took the rest out, no way you get that money non holos in a base set box, it’s unheard of, plus the booster box wasn’t sealed makes it so much more convincing
Yea that’s what I was thinking... I think there’s a good chance they’re faking it for views. I mean one of the cards even had edgewear... and it really would be simple to fake something like this
Immediately sus when there was no seal, but they could just rewrap it anyways. And then show them barely cutting it open. With the boom tho recently deffs more learning towards for clout, regardless of "scamming" money.

Last year I bought a few shadowless packs and experienced the three cards were 1st edition and some were grey stamped and faded. Was simply shocked and amazed at the same time!

I can't imagine anyone who bought those packs to keep them sealed will actually keep them sealed after seeing the others opened with that error...... And there should be 8 holos left in those 18 packs too, so the chance for crazy pulls is just insane for them

Yep my base set shadowless box i opened years ago was the same thing, only the last 3 cards are 1st edition. Rusty I think had one too

Modern sets have 1st edition stamps for the 1st print line. But it's always japanese
Imagine wizards of the coast taking over again and getting sets like we did back in the day skyridge and aquapolis etc
I got one of these boxes back in 1999. It just had like 1 or 2 holos in the whole booster box. Back then I didn't know how many there were supposed to be in one box. Saw all the holos in the store and figured it would take thousands of dollars to make a complete set (thinking holos were very rare to get) and didn't buy another box. Just recently found out that's supposed to be 1 in 3. It looks to me that the store sold me a resealed box and probably weighted the packs beforehand. Really sucks because if I got 12 holos in that box, I would have bought another 2 or 3 and then continue buying following sets. Kinda bittersweet after 25 years.
I think I got it for something like $85. Asked about the 1st edition and the guy told me they are more expensive now and harder to get, but still obtainable for something like $135 for a booster box. Back then that was more serious money than today. Figured I would get more cards for the money and be able to complete the set, but my plans got shattered by that almost holo-less booster box.
Btw, I still have all the cards and the box stashed away here somewhere, so all is still in NM condition (sans the holos lol).
I just started collecting again. You guys have made me want to stay again. My mom sold my 1st edition Pokémon cards when I was like in 7th grade for 10$ to some little kid. I’m 23 now but it’s never too late right....

Hey guys does anyone know about fresh cards from packs having a micro peel on an edge before? What does that do to grading from a 10 to an 8 or an 9 if everything else checks out perfect or what do you think?

Exactly , that’s what I was thinking. The sealed pack buyers were buying 4 or 5 at a time so they probably got multiple holos
Man when I bought packs when I was a kid I got 1st edition in non 1st edition packs and sadly I had to get rid of them all because of my living situations as a kid sadly. But hopefully one day I can have one pack to open live

The error boxes didn’t have holos in them. That’s why those black triangles were on the booster packs at first.
