People can hate on Odyssey because it isnt a “traditional” assassins creed game. But you can NOT hate on the soundtrack. And this just made it better, because it is no longer on my crappy headphones.
For my opinion this game cannot be call assassin creed, but is a very good game, one of my favorite. People say that is a crap because doesn't follow traditional AC but in Italy we say "e sticazzi?".

I've played Valhalla and now I'm playing Odyssey. Definitely Odyssey has a better theme song than Valhalla! It's more intense, which suits a game about Assassins more than Valhalla. Not that I don't like Valhalla's Theme Song. It's a great song, too. I just like Odyssey's Theme Song more. This makes the already amazing theme song sound even more amazing! There are definitely things that I consider an upgrade or a downgrade for Valhalla from Odyssey. Upgrade: You can train your horse to swim and can ride your swimming horse! You can't do that in Odyssey. Downgrade: Your ship is a pain in the ass to steer in Valhalla. Despite it being a more narrow ship. Your sailing throw narrow paths of water and once you crash, you struggle to steer the boat away from the land! You have wide open range and the steering is by far better in Odyssey! Upgrade: Your skills map is a lot larger and you gain Ability Points faster. Downgrade: You have to hunt out your Abilities via Books of Knowledge. Oddysey has everything readily available and once your upgrade your Spear of Leonadis, you can Upgrade your Abilities. Upgrade: Your Wheel menu has more things in it and things like Meditate aren't mapped to a button. Upgrade: You have shields! Downgrade: You have less Weapons, Armour and can't loot and upgrade your weapons and armour from your enemies. Upgrade: Zealots are a lot stronger and harder to defeat than opposing Mercenaries and Cultists. Downgrade: You only have a handful of Abilities that cause great damage, as Odyssey has a lot more. Plus you can't add an Engravement that turns your Weapon damage to Fire and Poison! Upgrade: You can Resist Fire and Poison, depending on what Runes you have and you can can increase your resistance to Fire and Poison with Skills on the Skill map. Downgrade: No Rune allows you to Breathe underwater like that awesome Engravement on Poseidon's Tridant has! Which then in turn grants you that Engravement for all your Weapons! Upgrade: You can install multiple Runes and when you have Gunnar upgrade your Weapons, you get more slots to install more Runes! Downgrade: You die easily from falling from great heights. In Odyssey, once you hit like Level 21, you flip and you don't get damage from any height! Upgrade: Your horse is more wary and it's harder altogether to make it do daredevil moves. Downgrade: Your horse often gets stuck and behaves retardedly, moving around in circles and comes toward you and goes away repeatedly when you summon it. Also, you can't choose your horse from 3 horses. Upgrade: You can buy more horses! Downgrade: Thegn's armour is the best Armour in Valhalla, but it's not nearly as cool as gear like the gear of Hades! Plus your skin for your the Underworld Skin is so totally badass! Upgrade: Your horse doesn't have a name. I named all my horses "Bob". In Odyssey,the 3 horses you choose from, all have names. I chose Phobos. Upgrade: There are more animals to hunt. Downgrade: You can't tame any wild animals, like bears. Upgrade: You have a whole crew that can help you fight, especially when you start raids! Upgrade: You don't have to call your Raven when you get near your Quest location. Downgrade: You can't use your Raven to help your spot out things like Treasures and other items for objectives and you can't tag your ememies, making them easier to spot, like Ikaros can. Upgrade: Berries and mushrooms boost your health greatly. Downgrade: You can't craft Arrows and you can't auto heal when not in Conflict like the Batman: Arkham Series. Downgrade: Your max Adrenaline Slots is 4. I have 7 in Odyssey. So in the end, both games are great in their own way and both have things about them that suck more than the other game. Both games are a lot of fun and I love both of them for what they are!
