i just wanna say, as a sound tech who does stuff for live vocals and mics, the number 1 thing that happens ALL the time, is that during the rehearsal where we set all the levels they dont sing the same way they do when there is a large crowd and a ton of noise , so even with inner ear monitors they sing different and throws levels off, if Manon held the mic closer during rehearsal but decided last minute to change it up and hold the mic further way, thats when sound stuff like this happens. Also it could have been a tech just not changing levels for that particular mic from the last preset that can happen too, I just wanna speak up for the sound techs since most people dont know how that works or what goes into it. I personally prefer working with Musical Theatre style hidden mics because you CANNOT move them once installed or good head mics that dont flop around too hard. Live sound is a bitch and a half let me tell ya 😅
@@Shadowcat31 aww not the sound tech defence lmaoo but this is so true though, there’s a lot of different factors that go into it. I thought sound techs could change things on the fly if they needed to like I.e if they see someone’s mic is too low they can turn it up while they’re performing. Maybe doing that is harder in a festival concert setting like this when ur not the only performer
@abiStalli It definitely catches me off guard sometimes and there's just a lot of buttons and switches so trying to find the right one on the fly can take longer than I'd like 😅
@@Shadowcat31 yess ah that’s what I was thinking -it’s def gonna be harder if they have to deal with so many different groups and solo peoples sounds! if ur like ..doing a concert with just the group. is it easier to remember? and ur so right about musical theatre mics btw lmao why doesn’t the industry use these everywhere??😭 these mics have always shocked me since I was younger 😹
