It's always bothered the hell outta me that most times 1 book is turned into multiple movies...but in the Queen of the Damned they cram multiple books into 1 movie
Fun fact: Brad Pitt was ready to quit the movie due to the daily exercise. Due to the $40 million quit clause, he stayed. They were hung upside down each day so that the blood vessels could be easily traced as the blood rushed to their heads. Re reading this novel again!
tbh forcing actors to do that was totally insane and unnecessary, as any good makeup artist can just draw equally good and realistic veins even if you don't hang upside down.. it was just effin stupid and sadistic to actors. it's a very know fact Brad hated everything about making this movie and honeslty is shows in his performance a lot of the times lol
I am surprised neither of you have covered "He Never Died" as of yet. Also look into the "The Dead Matter" with Tom Savini and Andrew Divoff. Also if you guys have not seen the "From Dusk til Dawn" both of you should check that out too especially since the Vampires are based on snakes instead of bats. Great job on the collaborations.
Never heard of Logan before. I'm gonna have to check out on all his vids. Dean, here's an idea for the next HPF, the origins of magic. The books may not say, but let's take maybe any fan thories into account. Just like in GoT, the people thought of Jon's true parentage and got thier wish by the ending of s6. For example.
I know magnus says never drink the last drop he gives LeStat a few rules before he jumps into the fire. But then you see LeStat drink the last drop. Its never really explained why you shouldn't. I think its you'll take their death into yourself but im not really sure. Was great to see you both do a calibration
I wish I could remember the movie trailer I saw a few years ago that featured a young actor with almost white blonde hair and every facial detail you could want in a Lestat. The movie itself was set in roughly the same era, but I believe the story took place in London and not Paris. I want to make a "TVL" trilogy. It's the only way to do it properly if the details matter to you.
Queen of the damned was a rushed production. if it wasn't, the quality would have been much better instead of the abomination we got. God rest Aaliyah. her wings were ready, our hearts were not.
I’m watching queen of the damned for the first time and got to Lestat becoming a vampire and I knew that Marius didn’t turn him but could only vaguely remember what happened. The actual story is better. Queen of the damned is appearing to be really corny. I remember it got bad reviews
Just read the books,, they are always going to be better because movies always cut out to many details or change things from the original storyline to fit the films running time or director's vision..... The interview with a vampire. The vampire lasat The vampire armond The queen of the damned All by Ann Rice... I read them all yrs ago best vampire trilogy in book form ever.....
Thanks for having me on the channel! hope everyone enjoyed!

Because queen of the dmnd was Just made to piss off Anne rice and keep the rights to her stories
Would have loved to have had a book about Magnus and his life (and afterlife) leading up to his creating of Lestat.

Re reading this novel again!
