Time flies by, and before you know it, your manager demands you get off your phone. It’s time for vocal training.
You knew you would be separated from your family, but you didn’t know just how much it would hurt.
You met someone, someone who you hit it off with. Someone who made you feel happy and cheerful and whom you loved with all your heart.
For a few days, you thought that just maybe life wasn’t all that bad.
You scroll through your phone, aimlessly, until you see your face plastered across a website. Right next to your S.O
The next few hours were a blur. Your manager was yelling at you. Your members were yelling at you. Your CEO threatened to kick you, as well as your younger sister, out of the company. You could handle that, but you didn’t want to ruin your sister’s idol career before it had even started. You loved her.

You don’t understand where everything went wrong.
You’re sitting in the dorm, alone. All of your other group members went out, for a night of fun, but your manager has decided to make you stay home due to your recent scandal. You understand where she’s coming from, you really do, but you can’t deny the anger burning through your veins.
It’s not fair. All you wanted to do was fall in love. What was so bad about that?
You bury your head in your knees, a sob tearing out of your throat. Your phone rings, and you look up, rubbing at your puffy eyes. Picking up your phone, you glance at the text message you received.

You don’t know what was going to happen to you. And as tears slipped down your face, you hoped it wouldn’t be too painful.
Today was comeback day. You adjust your mic as you get into position. You still feel sick from the incident the month before. There’s nothing to worry about. Your saesang was arrested and put into jail. Your company made sure of that.
But you still remembered the paralyzing fear that smothered you as you curled up in the bathtub. You couldn’t be alone anymore without breaking out into a cold sweat.
You felt scared, every moment of every day was terrifying. You had started to take anxiety medication the week before, but you kept lying about losing the bottles.
After all, you were pretty sure it wasn’t exactly healthy to take as many pills as you were, but it made you feel better. And that wasn’t something that happened very often to you.
You shake off your dark thoughts, raise your hands into your starting position, and flash a bright smile at the audience. Your new song starts to play, and you try to lose yourself in the music.
But you’ve already lost yourself, the moment you were accepted into this industry several years ago.
You can’t do this anymore.
You can’t handle the way trainees stare at you, whispering about all of your so-called scandals.
You can’t handle the way your own group-mates despise you, and gossip about you when you aren’t around.
You can’t handle your CEO always hanging around when you practice dance, and his leering gaze that makes you want to rip off your skin and shove it down his throat.
You can’t handle the way you have to hide the bruises every time your manager sinks her nails into your arms, telling you that you aren’t worth anything.
The final straw was your sister. Your little, innocent, sister. The same sister who told you, straight up to your face, that she didn’t want anything to do with you. Who said she was ashamed to be related to you.
It hurt. Everything hurt. You couldn’t do this anymore. You never could.
You touched the rope wrapped around your neck, closed your eyes, and kicked off the stool.
And finally, all the pain was gone.
Now tell me. Tell me that these people-no, these puppets-can’t have a mental illness.
I’m sorry, but your question is incredibly ignorant. Whatever you’ve seen of the K-Pop industry is nothing compared to what it really is. A corrupt, dangerous, and sickening industry.
I have the utmost respect for all idols out there, because they go through some bad shit. And most of the time, they aren’t even allowed to express exactly how bad it is. Their companies control them, right down to the clothes they wear and interviews they do.
And sometimes, they can fail.
And that shouldn’t be surprising anymore.
Something is obviously wrong with the way these idols are trained. Having to have possible repercussions just from wanting to love is ridiculous. Having to be scared of crazy fans wanting to track you down is ridiculous.
Many trainees have talked about how bad their experiences were. I urge you to go look at those interviews and articles, because many don’t even understand exactly how bad the idol life is.
It might look all pretty and shiny, but if I’m going to be honest, it’s anything but. And only once the general public realizes that, will anything begin to change.
PLEASE RESPECT KPOP IDOLS AND THEIR PRIVACY!!!

It could be anyone, maybe Jennie from Black pink, or perhaps Chaeryoung from Itzy,or any other idol that gets a lot of hate. And for what? They literally sacrifice everything just to make a 3 minute music video that you can watch just to cheer up your day a bit. That's all they want.To make their fans happy.
