I wish the Parade of Gowns was longer, all of these ladies deserved to shine 🥹🌟 Loving the universe themed gowns and the trend of having draped crystals/fringe crystals! The shine and movement must be dazzling!
Mine too. So stunning. Across systems, Zimbabwe has some amazing reps and they aren't huge fan favs. People are sleeping on their reps. A placement is a good start though. Just gotta keep moving up.
@@DaniWalker Only a pleasure. After watching your video, I was very curious as some questions came to mind. So evening gown is a huge show stopper in any beauty pageant. 1. Was the Miss Universe 2024 evening gown judged? If all contestant stood there and just showcased their gown on the spot? If not, I guess it didn't matter what each of the girls wore? 2. How do the girls get their gowns? Does each country have their list of preferred designers? Or does it work like the national costume where word is put out there and designers get to apply in accordance to a list of criteria? 3. Some of the dresses look exquisite, so I am assuming that these dresses are personally designed which may probably take months? So when must a dress officially be ready. A week before competition? Or like when the contestant leaves their respective country? 4. So what is the judging criteria for an evening gown? I have heard the 4 P's being mentioned in judging. I can't remember them all.... Poise, personality, pasela and something else. So is in something similar, or is it in accordance to what each judge thinks. 5. Then, I heard that the head judge sat on his own table separate from the others. Why would that be the case. It certainly questions the transparency around things? Is the judging criteria the same across all competitions or does it depend on the advocacy? Then, do you get a checklist, or some kind of a manual to help you from that organization? I am most interested in knowing your expert guidance on that? Thank you.
U.S. Virgin Islands final gown was so awesome and it had different designs and stones in the middle as it was actually made in 2022 as one of Ashley Cariño, Miss Universe PR 2022, options for MU final night by Carlos Alberto who designed the iconic MU 2006, Zuleyka Rivera, final night gown.
I’m glad you pointed out Cambodia and Zimbabwe. Even though I’m not really intertwined with the Pageant world..when I saw both of these ladies I automatically thought they was going to at least make top 5 but to see that none of em placed really broke my heart. 😢
Hi Dani. I was so excited to see this video pop up. You have been working so hard. I have a lot of your videos to still watch. Thank you for putting this together. I can’t possibly choose a favourite. They are all so beautiful and unique. It amazes me that designers are able to continually produce new ideas and designs for gowns. Their creativity and talent is truly amazing. I love your hair down. It looks very pretty. Cheers Raylene.

Great video. I think this Universe-themed gowns started when Anntonia Porsild, 1st runner up Miss Universe 2023, wore that "Light of the Universe" gown.Though some looked stunning - Brazil. Some looked a bit costumey and literal. I would not be surprised for 2025 this trend will continue. Looks like Miss Earth has earth-themed gown, Miss Universe has universe-themed gown 🙂.
Call me a prude but i wish ladies wouldnt wear gowns that are risque nor have slits that threaten to expose the world's greatest treasure. Gowns should highlight class & elegance
I agree. Specially when breast is two big silicone. So horrible and artificial. Its not nice. I cant undestand why they keep using dress open and show all fake breast.

I’ve heard you mention a few times now how particular colors are hard to win in. What do you mean by that? Personally, I tire of seeing all of the neutral and metallic colored dresses. I love seeing less common colors like green or pink, so long as the shade compliments the woman wearing it.
@@alyssasisemore2311 staging lights are often a shade of blue/purple or reds, occasionally gold. For whatever reason pinks and greens don’t standout against that staging. When you’re at the live show and you see the metallics under the lights, you can’t help but look at them. They have an incredible shine, making them eye catching and memorable. Grand-gold/emerald theme gowns😂😂😂
