- The Boxer Armored Vehicle is set to significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the British Army, marking a leap forward in armored vehicle technology and versatility. Boxer is the British Army’s new state-of-the-art wheeled armored fighting vehicle. The vehicles will form a core part of the Army’s new Armoured Brigade Combat Teams, where they will be paired with new Ajax reconnaissance tracked armored vehicles and Challenger 3 tanks to form the cornerstone of the Army’s ability to fight and win wars on land.

Yes, today; but watch this space because pretty soon they'll be superfluous. Partial drone autonomy is on both sides already and full autonomy is next. What will be needed then (next week, month,...) are mission planners to program AI-assisted autopilots.

Why on earth do people use AI voice-overs on videos such as this instead of having a real person reading a script? It's so off-putting listening to the clunky narrative, which incidentally is also quite repetitive and could do with some editing.

Remember it's the British MOD who decide what weapons go on the Boxer and sensible ideas like yours will have the "bean counters" sweating cobs. The British Squaddie will be lucky if the MOD provide a 7.62 General Purpose Machine Gun attached to their Boxer=(

American oxymorans they have a better cannon that this 50mm cannon, will see if are better than the CTA 40mm cannon in weight and ammo capability bigger not always better the 35mm Oerlikon is a amazing weapon with 1000 rounds a min it can out gun the 65 rounds a min for the 50mm cannon that is basicly a copy of the German WW 2 RK-5 build by Rheinmetal AG, the boxer with the 35mm cannon is much better than a 50mm cannon is fast and high energy and put much more explosive power in a target than a untested cannon, you should check the power of a 35mm round
you do need to bear in mind boxer is essentially an armoured taxi no better in role than a BTR. It doesnt need crazy weapons and AT tech. If you face a tank in this kind of vehicle you messed up big time

People always ask why the first batch of anything is produced somewhere else. It’s done to train British workers on how to build it.

@@eraldorh Ajax is the replacement for some of the CVT vehicles, others are not being replaced Ajax is a tracked reconnaissance vehicle, The warrior is an IFV. The IFV variant of the boxer is currently not a Uk option. There is no replacement for the Warrior. The Boxer will be an APC, essentially a taxi.
@@paulhill1665 No, the Ajax is an AFV and it comes in multi variants just like the boxer and one of those variants is indeed replacing the warrior. Stop making stuff up.
@@eraldorh the closest Ajax to the warrior is the Ares, which is an APC , armoured personnel carrier carrier, the Boxer comes in 4 variants, an APC, a specialist carrier, a command post and an ambulance. The warrior is/was an IFV, infantry fighting vehicle, there is no direct replacement. NB there is a planed 93 Ares, there were over 700 Warriors. The original plan was for the Ajax, Boxer, and refurbished Warriors, with the new 40mm gun, and major systems upgrades, I think some 400 were planned to be upgraded, all of the development work was completed, and the project was about to be signed off for production, when the project was scrapped, after some £1.5 billion spent on the project. Guess bean counters again.’ By the way there was the big announcement of the Challenger 3 upgrade, great news? Maybe, in the small print it also say a further 79 tanks are being ‘retired’ a reduction of over a third.
@@eraldorhthere will be 92 Ares APC variant, again it is an APC, battle field taxi, not an IFV, infantry Fighting vehicle, there were 700 Warriors in service, some 500 were due to be upgraded with the new 40mm gun system, and digital battlefield interface, as fitted to the Ajax. The whole program was cancelled, just as it was to be signed off, and £1.5 billion spent. As before there will be no direct replacement for the warrior. There is an IFV variant of the boxer, but not ordered by the British Army.

@@bradleycurtis4703Ajax is not replacing warrior. Ajax is an armoured reconnaissance vehicle and warrior is an infantry fighting vehicle. They are made for different roles, Ajax will replace the cvrt scimitar.
Hopefully warrior will get an upgrade, it needs a self stabilising gun turret.
Also need to order Tacked Boxer.
You and this tracked boxer the mod is going ahead with ajax according to them problems are solved so its ajax and boxer wheeled vehicles the fv432 is still good with better engine and speed with remote station it also makes a very good mortor carrier as well😊😊
@@thecurlew7403 Ajax is not an IFV and is not replacing Warrior Boxer is so there so Tracked Boxer should be acquired alongside Wheeled Boxer.
@jammiedodger7040 They will make boxer the ifv they can put modules on it armed with missiles and cannon there's nothing wrong with warrior all it needed was an upgrade with a stabilisation gun you can even put atgm on the turret and an APS if you wish having said that the cv 90 is still the better option it has all these on it and has sold well nobody much bought the cv80 it never had a stabilisation gun all for cheapness they run the military on the cheap 🤔
@@thecurlew7403 CV-90 is almost as old as Warrior and you obviously don’t understand commonality the modules used on Wheeled Boxer can be used on Tracked i’m not gonna argue with you about this because you obviously know nothing about it.
@jammiedodger7040 The cv 90 has been upgraded in fact there's a whole family of vehicles including a 120mm light tank the tracked boxer uk will not adopt so its boxer and ajax like itbor lump that's what they deploying ajax is good if if works well .😊😊

Boxer is not a mechanised infantry fighting vehicle. It is moving sideways into the vacuum left by cancelling warrior. Infantry will now need to rely on Ajax being used out of role to support it in an armoured conflict

First of all you can only do that if YOU are ruling and have total control over the sky. Secondly you can not use air drops everywhere and how should your troops move on the ground, in particular if you have large numbers of troops??? By foot???
