Im sure many people like myself would like to do this as an experience day or even for 30 mins if they could make a massive loop of the track available! :) After typing that i just realised you can book a 2 hr experience slot lol :)
Ah number 17 the last 3 car I drove in service, always was a bit of a good one that one, very rarely had any issues with that one, hope you enjoyed your experience and glad to see a few have made it into preservation
Wow nice to see that a few of these units have been preserved. I'm a big fan of pacers so I'd love to drive one some day! Do you know if this driver experience day will be on again?
the driver on merseyrail one time was nice neough , and letted me to do a tone i did a 4 toner like low high high low and now because of that my dream is to become a merseyrail driver
@@TheJamster2006 I spotted this one in Penistone on the 16th January 2019. I was working in the buildings next to the station there and would nip out every chance I got if a train stopped!
@@MrDbremner i was actually at Penistone on this trip as well. We wanted to visit stations where we could cover part of the station name to make it look a bit cheeky so we visited Penistone, Scunthorpe and South Milford. Boys will be boys 😆
This was at the Appleby and Frodingham railway at Scunthorpe Steel works. They offer driver experience days on this pacer. Get yourself onto their website and book a slot 👍
