Thank you for the video! Very informative and helpful as I am planning to take a trip there this early February.
May I know how long you walked from Chusha to Togakushi Shrine Okusha?

It took me about 30 minutes to walk from Chusha to the entrance of the walkway to Okusha, and then around another 20-30 minutes to reach Zuishinmon. I didn't walk all the way to Okusha but would estimate that takes another 30 minutes or so depending on the weather conditions on the day of your visit.

Hello, Thank you for the super informative video..I just wanna ask how long was your entire trip to Togakushi? Im planning a trip to Nagano but I only have half a day on the day I can go to Togakushi and have a bus back to Tokyo at 5pm so I wonder if ill make it back to Nagano station in time..

I just checked the timestamps of my photos, I took the bus at around 9:40am and got back to Zenkoji around 3:40pm so if I stayed on the bus I would have gotten to JR Nagano Station by around 4pm. I’d say it might be doable depending on how early you start your trip but double check the bus timetables on the Alpico Bus website that I linked in the video description too :)
The round trip bus alone will take around two hours in total, and then walking to Zuishinmon from Chusha and back would also be around two hours.

Hi! Can we use the Tokyo Wide Pass to travel to Nagano from Tokyo?

Hmm I don't have any personal experience with the Tokyo Wide Pass as I was travelling using the JR Pass on this trip.
Nagano Station can be reached on the Hokuriku Shinkansen which the Tokyo Wide Pass does allow travel on, but based on the JR East website though (www.jreast.co.jp/multi/en/pass/tokyowidepass.html) it seems like the furthest you can go is Sakudaira (in Nagano Prefecture, but not the city).
It might be best if you contact the pass provider and/or consider whether the JR East Pass is more suited for your plans :)
