Thank you! We're about to embark on a similar van build and I really appreciate your video. I have been leaning toward Legend Duratherm, and your review sure helps confirm our direction. Can't wait to watch more of your videos!

@@kristin347 YT is a great resource isn’t it. We’ve learned allot from watching various van builder videos. It’s good to see ordinary non professionals achieving great results. There is much satisfaction building your own and probably most are saving significant money. We like the Legend Duratherm kit and think it’s a very good option for van builders. It really did go in very easily with no real issues start to finish. The actual liner installation was probably under 8 hours. Thanks for watching our build. Ingebjørg and I wish you all the luck in the world with your Van build adventure

Would you find this to be cheaper and better to use instead of the wood wall panels companies are selling? thanks! And great job!!!!

Hello. When I was looking a year and a half ago the Wood panel kits were more expensive. Checking recently I see allot more companies offering them and the competition has driven the prices down so now cheaper then these Legend kits. I’ve heard about fitting issues with some wood kits and also there is not as much adjustability for the numerous options that Mercedes offers of the Sprinters. My guess is the Legend kits are easier to install and allow more flexibility with how your particular Sprinter came from the factory and how your build will proceed. These walls are definitely more durable having been designed to be used in commercial work vehicles. Those guys are rough on stuff. These panels are much better at sound deadening and supposedly insulated to R4. That means if you don’t plan to go into extreme cold or extremely hot climates then you could theoretically not have to install additional insulation. The wood kits you have to stain or otherwise apply some sort of finish. So factor in that coat and time spent. Also wood does rot and deteriorate overtime. While these plastic/foam based liners are pretty much forever and maintenance free. I will agree that wood properly stained/varnished just looks so nice. The Legend liners have a more industrial look to them however nobody that’s seen out liners has not liked them. I guess it’s a individual choice and what look a van builder is going for
