Hi, I've got an Euro5 Interceptor 650 and I installed a S&S air filter and 2 in 1 exaust and thinking on installing a FuelX from Powertronic. Could you give me your feedback on it, please?. I'm not a fully experimented rider so I'll go for LITE version. Thanks in advance
We haven't actully run the LITE version so I can't give you an informed answer. However, that's really what it's designed for so I expect it will work fine on your combination. We have run the PRO version. On a bike with air cleaner/full exhaust system and a cam, on setting 10, it will increase the air fuel ratio almost a full point (from mid/high 14s to mid/high 13s) which is exactly where it needs to be for general use.
@@RevelryCycles Thank you very much for your answer. I had my doubts on LITE or PRO but after your feedback, I think I'll go for PRO version as eventually I'll install the cam too and to be honest I trust you a lot.

(Why no pricing on components now?) Just wondering how you know how to adjust the mapping? I guess ideally you'd have it on a dyno, but how much can you do by riding? How dangerous is it to DIY the mapping purely by riding? Or by using downloaded maps? Would you build the bike, map it on a dyno, then as long as you didn't change the bike it should be OK?
2020 Interceptor 650. Great video and explained this so well. What do you think about booster plugs being used to compensate for stage 2 air filters and slip on exhausts? I know you have touched upon the subject but I just wanted to know what you think and if you have done any testing on the same. Is the booster plug advisable for smaller mods like these? Many people feel that rich is better than lean and hence go for the booster plug. Also, please put up more videos of that big bore wheelie monster! And get a motoring publication to to review it or something. It looks wicked and fast! More videos of that bike please. What's the fastest quarter-mile clocked by your drag spec twins? Here in India among locally manufactured motorcycles, the RD350 is still king of drag strip clocking mid 11s at the 1/4 mile. Keep 'em videos coming! - Love from India.
We have not fitted a booster plug so we have no first hand experience with it. However, as far as we can see, all the reviews the about them are positive. If you're just doing air filter and mufflers we expect they would work exactly as advertised. In Australia they are nearly half the price of one of the other tuners so, because we're after more control, we just haven't fitted one yet.

I am riding a Continental GT. I have a question for Santina. How do you manage your hair in a fireproof suit with the helmet on the strip? Just asking out of curiosity. Also, I will soon have to get a new rear tyre for my bike should I go with a wider 150 or the stock 130? Do you also plan to do a video on Ohlins Front and Read Suspension? If not will you consider doing one there is only so much information on TH-cam of it.
LOL So on a motorcycle we wear a leather suit but not fireproof. I did research before I started racing and found that long hair had little impact on aerodynamics as long as it was braided. It's uncomfortable to tuck it down my jacket so I just let it fly. You certainly can do a 150 it fits without modification. Not sure about the suspension video. We get asked about it on TH-cam but rarely in the store. We will just have to see where the videos take us.
@@RevelryCycles I will keep an eye out for the video. I found the bike to be more light than my liking at triple-digit speed. Adjustable front fork inserts should hopefully be an easier job than replacing the forks altogether. Do you have people come to you with the same problem? What do you recommend them?
@@RevelryCycles - As you may already know, Stu Fillingham was very impressed by the YSS suspension kits and believes Öhlins equipment costs too much. Yet, some owners like to "gild the lilly", so a comparison would be welcomed.
We didn't mention it because both systems are designed to work with the OE closed loop system intact. You DO NOT need to disconnect (or otherwise circumvent) the sensors. The bike still idles and cruises in closed loop.
@@RevelryCycles I can’t get it rich enough on the power commander, the computer keeps leaning it based on O2. My tuner puts in high numbers on the dyno, and the closed loop lowers it back down. He’s afraid it may set a check engine light. Dynojet says they couldn’t help, I’m going to put a call in to S&S
@@williamrobertson8962 We have a number of 865cc bikes running the PowerCommander that start, idle, run just fine and make in the 70hp range at something like 13.2 AFR under hard acceleration and wide open throttle. The narrow band closed loop system in the original ECU only operates at idle, cruise and light loads only. Under these circumstances the system only knows wether O2 content in the exhaust indicates richer or leaner than 14.7 and the ecu drives the mixture back there. At idle, while crusing and at light loads, 14.7 is what you want anyway, regardless of what fuel ratio you're chasing for wide open throttle and hard acceleration. While you're doing dyno runs you can experience the closed loop switching that makes a the dyno's wide band sensors show some pretty erratic readings. The trick is to simply unplug the O2 sensors and ignore the light while dyno tuning for the best power and smoothest acceleration. Then you'll find that when you plug them back in and clear the codes the bike starts and idles fine, is well mannered in traffic and makes plenty of power when you're on the throttle.
@@RevelryCycles thank you for the response. I’ll forward this to my tuner. Hitchcocks Power Commander comes with O2 eliminators. Dynojet says they can’t provide them in the US. Dynojet also said the mid range of the map was the closed loop portion and their map on the website was an incorrect open loop map . It has supposedly been rectified by Dynojet. We would tune it, run it on the road then put it back on the dyno and it would sag in the mid section where it was leaned and plugs were a tad white. I’m going to try 4-pin O2 eliminators for a Polaris RZR and see if we can get the curve steady. 865, S&S cam and Head work, DNA filter w/lid removed, Kspeed Diablo full exhaust, it’s pulling right at 59hp on the DynoJet dyno for us. I emailed a while back, I wish you guys made the timing wheel adapter available for purchase. I made a set up of my own but it has too much slop on the stock crank nut. So I used the stock tools and checked TDC with a dial gauge but that’s not accurate enough either as there’s probably 3 degrees on the top duration. So it may be too advanced or retarded, I just don’t know for sure.
Sure, you could. The booster plug would still be altering the AIT sensor signal to the OEM ECU so the PowerTronic would effectively just be tuning around it.

So it may be too advanced or retarded, I just don’t know for sure.
can you run the powertronics along with the booster plug?
Sure, you could. The booster plug would still be altering the AIT sensor signal to the OEM ECU so the PowerTronic would effectively just be tuning around it.
I have Int650 2021 do you know what tuning can be used to work properly?
All the tuners in this video can be used on your 2021 model.
2017 Continental GT
in 2017 the GT was a 535 this video is for the 650.
@@RevelryCycles You are correct, my bad. My GT is 10/20 build. was thinking of something else .
Hello
Can we use powertronic ECU to upgrade from 650 to 865?
Of course. Because PowerTronic has the advantage of altering ignition timing it is often the preferred tuner for high compression conversions.
Hi. I have a query.
I have a interceptor 650. With powertronic + bmc + slip-on exhaust.
I want my bike to do pop and bangs. Can you please brief me how to do it in Rtune.
I know that we have to retard ignition table to - value. I may be wrong. Please guide me how to do it. Thanks a lot. 😊
Ma'am
Can’t help noticing you appear to have sprouted mirrors out the top of your head.....😳
Iam getting my first bike in a month a conti 650 (:
Can you send me to mexico?
Interceptor
Love the explanation, very nice video
I’m sure Austrália is very pretty but...... Portugal 🇵🇹 is more........ Sorry 😎
Places, like people, are beautiful everywhere. It's not a contest it's more important that you love where you choose to live.
Powertronics is a much better system that the PCV.... Dynojet are way behind on this bike.
Need better audio (louder).
👌👍💕✌️💋🇫🇷
Audio is too low
