I feel like the matching glowing eyes of the person and the squid in the second picture are the main highlight, would be such a miss to change that!

Incredible artwork and cheers Pete for your insights These critiques are particularly handy because they cover a diverse range of situations.
For the old guy I think if it's a walk animation you could probably get away with not outlining the arm, the motion will make it clear what it is just by showing the flow of states. Had a similar situation recently, I really fretted about this one still image in an animation, but my style uses no outlines so adding a line really didn't work. Didn't need to worry though once animated it was petty obvious what was happening.
I think maybe with the voodoo doll the idea with the interior outline was to try to make it look like it's stitched together, to clearly show a separation of the pieces? Ah and I'm guessing that's why you use quite different color tones for each body part. removing the outlines I feel takes away from this emphasis. Maybe consider adding some lines at the seams to show the stitches?

ctrl + shift + z also does the same as ctrl + y, and is easier to hit in my opinion, but if you're already used to something it's probably for you to just hit the same thing that you're used to haha and maybe in that way I'm biased as well.
