I am Canadian, and I survived the Iranian Revolution. I escaped Iran and returned to Canada on June 30, 1978.

Oh my goodness I don’t know where to start. In 1978 after living in Iran for three years, my father‘s contract was up and it was time for him to come back to Canada. Back in the 70s, the children didn’t have passports all their own. They were put on their mothers passport. Yes all five of us children were put on my mother’s passport. My mother loved Iran so much that she refused to return home with my father and my older sister. She made a promise to my father that by the end of the summer she would return back to Canada. One day, my accuse me of being immoral with the Iranian men. You have to keep in mind I was only 14 years old at the time and 100% virgin. I tried to defend myself verbally but she didn’t wanna listen so she attacked me with a branch off a tree and started whipping me. During our fight, I ran from the house we were living at to a police station which was about 20 minutes away from our house. My mother accused me of trying to kill her, Which was totally untrue. I just wanted to come home to Canada and I was gonna do everything I could to get back here. The ayatollah Khomeini had already taken over the country and my family had to go into hiding. My mother was for the Shaw and she was very verbal about it. Because she was so verbal about it we had to go into hiding. After I got to the police station and was put in jail for 10 days, my mother was in the capital of Iran Tehran trying to get me a passport or an exit visa so I could come home to Canada. After 10 days in jail forb10 days she managed to convince the court that she would take me out of jail and put me under house arrest in a local hotel. After she made these arrangements she left again for Tehran and left me alone in that hotel. During her absence, I was able to escape and ended up near a river that flows into the Caspian Sea. Unfortunately the City police caught up with me put a gun to my head and told me to get the blank blank blank into the car. They brought me back to the hotel and locked me in my room for four days until my mother came back from Tehran. The owner of the hotel told her, that the hotel is not a prison and that they must remove me immediately. So my mother took me to someone’s house a friend of hers apparently, where his wife and himself try to not only rape me but convert me into Muslim. I was able to talk my way out of it somehow I don’t know how, and when my mother returned this guy told her a bunch of lies about me and she didn’t believe me, until he pulls back his fist and sucker punch me in the face and I went clear across the room and slammed up against the wall. She finally believed everything I was saying, she threw me into a car with one suitcase full of whatever I had. We drove all night until we reach Tehran. There she had a hotel for us her and I. We spent the night there at the hotel and the next day we arrived at Iran Airport In Tehran. The secret police took me a side and interrogated me for over two hours. I had
miss my flight at this point. After two hours two hours of negotiators with them I was finally put on Iran air headed to Edmonton Alberta and then change flights to Vancouver British Columbia. This is not my whole story this is only part of it. I’m afraid it’s much too long to continue. This is part of my Journey from my escape from Iran.

@@roxyroller6633 Believe it or not western politicians made ayatollahs get the power to take over Iran. Many of the young generation including myself, are still suffering from this regime, as ayatollahs have killed many youths and teenagers during last few weeks...

Since most of the Iranian population was not educated at that time or now, how did they get guns and organized so well? Smells a little fishy and sounds like the Soviets were behind that. I don't understand why the plot of the escape was revealed. Wouldn't that just anger the Iranians more? Thank you.

I think the leaders were more competent then than now Look at the Sudan, Americans are still trapped there, we can't get them out., no plan at all. You have NO idea if the same happened today.
