I had the same stock issue, even after tightening the p!ss out of it. JB Weld fixed it. There is a steel piece (spacer) between the stock and rifle receiver. With the stock installed and aligned perfectly, I noted where the spacer lay on the receiver. I removed the stock, cleaned the spacer and receiver with alcohol, then used only a few very small blobs of JB Weld on each side to bond the spacer on the receiver. Now the bonded spacer holds the stock from rotating while shooting. The bond is under a shear load so no guess how long it will last. This was a bad design. There should have been some pins, or lugs, or something mechanical, to hold the alignment between the stock and receiver, IMHO.
You do not have to pull or loosen stock to get trigger guard out, punch out take down pin than rotate lifer down and pull forward towards the magazine tube
You have the pistol grip since shotguns have a fixed magazine under 10 rounds you just can't have an adjustable stock or vertical foregrip hope this helps
Thanks for the quick video. I just received my 1301 mod 2 and can't afford a Briley forend replacement, yet. Do you know if the mag tube replacement and clamp can be used with the factory forened?

I tightened my mesa stock and haven’t had any issues.
That twist is unacceptable.

Thanks for the quick info. Do you think the barrel/mag tube clamp is even necessary?
Only if dropped on the mag tube, or you have to strike something/one with it.
I used a nylock nut and red loctite to tighten the stock on
Does the GG&G magazine tube cover go over the deten on the Briley handguard?
The Briley handguard has it's own built in detent that really locks the mag tube down tight.
Briley sends a ring that goes over the tube cover to interact better with the Briley detent
unfort. can't have in Cali due to semi-auto/pistol grip combo.. sadness.
So sorry, you should MOVE !
Ummmmmmm you can get in ca and the m4 🤔 lol

@@donculver8671 Yes, the mag tube and clamp works with the OEM forend.
Same with the pistol grip stock twisting
Great info thank you
