My late father used to have New Performance Super Majors back in the day. Those couplings used to break often, in particular with the uneven load of driving a baler. He replaced them with coupling type that was used on Thames Trader engines which he found more reliable and gave much less clatter at tick over. That was on the Simms Minimec pump with mechanical governor that was on his Super Majors.
See you have the decompression lever on your major, thought they were only fitted on the export tractors. Have you seen many majors with them over the years? I’ve just subscribed you have very interesting channel mate!👍

Yes the later silent couplings it alters the sound of the major altogether, thanks keep looking there's more to come 👍

Thanks , yes there's a few around any one could've had one if you wanted at extra money but to be fair most e1a's always started ok over here 👍
