Another brilliant interview totally worth the 2 hours plus So many layers and depths in the subculture movement here, such an eye opener. So much i learned just listening to it. I was in Perth record store called Dada records couple of years ago, in the basement area in a showcase was a carburetor dung's album and the staff was very happy talking about it. Oh man.. Blasting Concept. The Sun setiap hari rabu dalam akhbar sisipan Perfect Pitch. My friends and I used to collect the addresses from those pages. Poorly xeroxed demo/rehearsal tapes and cut n paste RM2 B5 fanzines dari setiap negeri dengan kamikaze english, Snail mails with recycled stamps and hidden cash/postal order were the way. Balik sekolah aje tak sempat naik tangga soalan pertama ditanya kat rumah adalah "ada surat untuk orang?". Bila dapat berbondong-bondong surat from bands and zine editors yang selalunya generous dengan "stuff" and flyers, kau rasa macam hari raya came early. Rumah bersusun blank tapes. Bila tak ada duit nak beli demo, kau hantar blank tapes dengan stamps and the bands would dub their demos on your blank tapes. Tak ada duit beli zine, kau trade dengan editors. Scene reports played crucial roles as well. Oh kat Kota Bharu kat Kangar kat Kuala Kangsar ada underground hardcore punk scene? Kontek semua. Blasting Concept and punk rock, man, its collosal pengaruh on me can never be understated lah.
