  • Two techniques of source coding are exploited. Firstly, Shannon-Fano coding is explained, then Huffman coding. Finally, a detailed explanation and derivation for the Source Coding Theorem. The techniques were discussed in the beginning to provide a good understanding for how source information is coded which is required to understand the Source Coding Theorem.
