in this video I leave our Offgrid island homestead to look at a potential property where i'll build my dream Cabin Homestead. After our Fanboat ride across the lake we head south to visit family and pick up my new Snowmobile. The trip takes an unexpected turn when problems begin to arise with our Overland jeep Vandi and we become stranded across the lake. Thankfully we have our Rossmonster expedition vehicle to stay in untill the lake is safe to cross once more.

Good Afternoon. If your truck/house batteries in back are lithium iron phosphate they won't charge unless they have an internal heater or the camper temp goes above freezing. Cheers

You two made the best of it while waiting for the right conditions to get back to the cabin. When it comes to letting our RV sit for awhile with no shore power I always disconnect the negative power cable off of the batteries. That said the batteries should be at 100%. Do this with the truck batteries as well as it only takes a few minutes to do. With all of the electronics these days there's always drain on the batts. What was the problem with the Jeep? I always learn from others when things go wrong and share my experiences as well. Watching your Mom and Dads video I know you made it back to the cabin safe. You found an awesome sled, so did your Mom, and the fan boat too. Looking forward to see what you guys do when choosing your homestead property.

Getting picked up in a Toyota, how fitting 😂. I had a 2013 Wrangler JK built up with 35’s re-geared it to 456, i put ARB lockers front and rear and wasn’t confident it would last as long as a Toyota 4runner so a few years later I traded it for a 4 runner. 100k plus miles and knock on wood I have had zero issues with the 4runner. Love your adventures guys, keep it up.
