Love the channel! Think you can do an update on Fisker and give us your views and impressions? They start production on the Fisker Ocean in November and have sold out their 5000 limited edition premium trim already.
SAIC is already selling a Maxus Euniq 5 EV minivan/MPV at least in Europe. I didn't compare these too to see if it's possibly the same base car in both cases.
Yes there are vans available now, but the range for someone like me who wants to use them as a touring/camper is not very good. A range of a minimum of 200 miles would be useful for this type of market
more like 400 to get 300 real world. If you have a sevice or sport that requires you to carry a lot of gear nobody has addressed this yet. The VW Buzz is the closest thing on paper if you are ever able get one.
I can’t find even one person converting an e transit van to a camper van. Must be the 150 mi range? Or maybe actually buying just one is impossible given fleet demand.
Is there even an e transit passenger van option? Why does Tesla make so many sedans? Did I they deliberately leave vans and pick ups to Ford? The Cybertruck seems like a faint dream. Are they going to single cast it? That would be a totally new design.
@@JeffMathias I suspect that they will use the CT chassis to put a van body on, but only time will tell. CT's not a dream, they'll be rolling off the production line next year. At the rate they'll initially be being produced, my truck will probably be 2-3 years away, but I'll eventually get it. The body isn't cast, but it's a single sheet of stainless steel, folded like origami. That's why the CT is the shape that it is. The underbody will be two castings, one front and one rear, with the battery pack as the structural piece that holds it together. And yes, the single piece body is a totally new design.
WHAT SAM, I MISSED HEARING YOU SAY IT AGAIN?? DOES IT HAVE A FRUNK?? IT SHOULD, WITH THAT FAIRLY LONG, FLAT HOOD?? THAT WOULD MAKE UP A LOT FOR NO STOW-AND-GO UNDERSEAT STORAGE ( I'm assuming that's where the battery pack lives now?? ) SO THE SOCCER MOM'S WOULD REALLY WANT THAT!! DID YOU SAY HOW MUCH IT WEIGHS?? THAT'S A BIG BATTERY PACK!! ITS GOTTA MAKE IT THE HEAVIEST "MINI" VAN ON THE PLANET!! THANKS SAM. CHAS ORVIS, PLAINVILLE, CT.
When did the definition of "van" change? All my life a van had two seats at the front and a big box load space at the back. Mostly the load space had no windows except in the rear doors. A van was used for moving stuff around not lots of people. As a former MGB owner the idea of an MG van boggles my mind.
@@clothearednincompoop Hmm... back in the 1960's my father had a Mini van. Like, an actual Austin Mini that was a van, as I describe a van above. Checking the dictionary I see "van" defined as: "a medium-sized motor vehicle, typically without side windows in the rear part, for transporting goods." Or: "an enclosed railway vehicle for conveying luggage, mail, etc." So, I have no idea what the people mover here is being called a "van". I have no idea what a "minivan" is supposed to be.
Almost every Electric Viking Video: Here's a Chinese EV that is cheap in China and not available outside of China, and here's what that Chinese price is in dollars. It might be coming to your country at some time...
You are in Australia and your videos are watched worldwide. I think it would be good when you initially say 38,000 dollars to specify USD or Aus$. I'm guessing you always mean USD, but the ambiguity doesn't need to be there. If you were to say [38,000] USD the first time you mention the price in the video, then for the rest of the video we can all infer that USD is what you mean whenever you say a price.
Some stunning E-MPVs in China.

Love your videos. However, the microphone was not working so well. The sound quality could be better(slight echo).

Centimètres are more practical for this kind of exercise, even metres with decimal is better, exemple: 4.85m. Merci.
Great for maxi taxis!

Why is it we haven’t seen choice for electric family movers or electric vans expand in the australian market ?
I’m waiting on the Long Wheel Base VW ID Buzz. I can’t wait to see if anyone else starts making mini-vans.
Did you cancel your Bus Alto order?
I need 6 or 7 or 8 seats. Have 7 seat Grande C4 Picasso diesel, any Electric vehicle esuggestion?

It sounds like a really good addition to EVs. Mind you it has way less power then a Kia Carnival. Although it does have more power then my Kombi!
Im hoping for the Denza D9
Need a van in the US.

OMG the front grill is hideous 🤮🤮 ... It looks like a cheap plastic trinket you get out of a Christmas cracker 🤢
Pronounce 'Roewe' with two syllables, and you have the way that many Chinese people would pronounce 'Rover'. Then you have the link with MG.
I’ve been waiting for an EV mpv from china.

Maybe people are too lazy to say "minivan". 😉

@@heater5979 Heh. "Minivan" is an American word, I suppose. Like "hood" for bonnet, "fender" for wing, and "trunk" for boot. 😉
Meant did you cancel BYD order?

He does mention US$38k at 3:00 which should avoid confusion
