im guessing built without Planning permission, or built out of PP spec & Local authority has refused retrospective permission and ordered demolition....

If I can suggest a few thing for next-level content. 1) A few inside Go-Pro shots, 2) a Go-Pro mounted to the excavator's boom, and 3) the primary camera operator to use a tripod or something like the DJI Osmo (holds your phone steady while you film). Otherwise - enjoyed the content! Thank you!

Hope you can capture more of these, and that you can pursue architecture, engineering, or even being your own demo company one day. Wished I'd discovered this as a young man; I might have pursued this kind of work !

problem is they probably did not want to pay the government extortion so they were ordered to demo it
when you look on google streetview you can see the house looked a little different back in 2019 (like putting in new windows I think) so it has been renovated not that long ago. Weird that that took it down now

Short videos =Big mess. If you want a neat jobsite, watch a house demo that has multiple videos. Then get bored to death. People complain that the guy running the excavator doesn't know his job because he takes too long. Not true. He's taking so long because he's trying to reduce the debris to smaller chunks so it can be loaded away easily. When you see quick demolitions like this one, you can tell he just wants the house down, and doesn't care how long it takes to haul it away. Brick and concrete is recyclable so it's cheap to haul away and dispose of, while the wood and other debris is very expensive to haul away because it has to be but in the ground.
Maybe they put road thru there for more expensive houses. I seen it happen to a custum built house
The average price of a home in this suburb is around 1 million dollars, why would someone want to put up an even more expensive home
Must be in an expensive area to buy a perfectly good house pay to tear it down and then going to the expense of building another one that probably will be far from the quality of construction this old one was.

W etook down a wooden house about 4 years ago with Cat325, I still wish the guy that help would have been gentle, we had so much smaller pieces of trasjh all over the ground it looked like a tornado had hit the site
Why would you work in all of that shit. You should have had 1 or 2 trucks at the ready to load them out to make your work site better and save you rocking all over the place in the machine. But it did come down.

Here i am looking at that roof on the house being demo'd that is 100% fine while i have a quote that the one on mine will need $30,000 to replace including gutters! It's 29 yrs old from when i built & has been regularly painted/maintained but we did not realize the sheet steel it is made from has been rusting badly from the underside & is now badly pin-holed & so the cause of leaks! I don't know where i am gonna get $30,000 from this sudden....

Does it ever get old, or is it as fun as it looks?
It's quite novel at first, but it does tend to wear off after a few homes. Running the machine is always fun. A good operator can hold your attention a lot longer, when compared to someone slow.
