I might be more dumb than brave, but I definitely get into some stunning nature. Instagram just told me you’re going on a solo adventure of your own. Be safe, have fun! Thanks Oregon Family Adventures!
@@theidahonian5321 You in Centrall Idaho Idahoanian? I am near Grangeville, Don't know what's so brave about going hiking and camping by yourself, I've been doing it on horseback and foot since I was about 16 all over in the centrall part of the state, into the selway, frank church, devils, up around hillman basin, up french creek from the middle fork of the salmon, and up wind river to florence area, the buffalo hump, all over really and a big part of it alone, never will come to understand why people get so spooky out in the woods and jumpy at their own shadow, maybe that's why they create the boogie man in their mind and call it big foot, in town amongst all the freaky people is what gives me the willy's, anyhow happy trails.
The seven devils is that near Sun Valley. My mom spent a lot of time in Sun Valley when it first open. Yes I am that old. She always talked about it highly. I like you talk about the plates. I am a geophysicist. But I left the field years ago. I am so glad we are apart of your channel.
Sun Valley is a good 4 maybe 5 hour drive from the Devils. It’s just a few minutes down the road from Sawtooth, where I hang out a lot. Yeah, I nerd on the geography of these parts, I probably should have studied geophysics myself. Thanks Colorado Martini!
Hi from the UK, this is what makes youtube so great for me. What an interesting video, great views, interesting commentary and good music. Thanks for sharing. All the best Steve
“And I’m still fine!” 😂 I’ve got to get up there and explore some day! Gorgeous country! Love the time lapses! Nice catches! This is the part where I thumbs up! Great trip, Kenny!
You crack me up!! 🤣There’s only ONE IDAHONIAN😉and I’m enjoying every minute of your Idaho! I’ve seen so many vids on the Sawtooths, but your vids make me want to GO THERE!! That water is SO clear! Beautiful catches🐟WORD! Lisa
What an amazing channel full of adventures! Wishing we could tag along! However watching you alone makes us feel like we are there with you. Thank you!
The Devils are one of Idahos secrets. Most ppl hang out on the Oregon side of the canyon in the Wallowas (also beautiful), so you are now an Idaho insider Down the Wrabbit Hole Travel. 😉
Hi Idahonian, name is Ray (Floatwithme) what a amazing channel and glad I have subscribed. What a beautiful films. I am a Dutch composer. Keep up that great work and glad I have subscribed. Cheers Ray
Beautiful scenery. Looks dangerous bro... I almost fell down on my paved sidewalk!... and you are going over rocks on the side of step hills... wth.. Nice fish!
I though I might die a few times on that hike. It was worth it for the fish. I whooped up some of those breakfast quesadillas from your video, YUM!!! Thanks Johnny!
Now that's an ascent! Oh, wow, beautiful country out there... I'm really diggin the ultra stabilized footage that comes out of your camera thingy. The "half dark" mountain shadowy hyperlapses are very cool, as is the monologue.
Nice adventure through a lens. I’ve always wanted to backpack the loop and plan on it. We escaped Oregon for Idaho (Oregon was not our thing) and now that we are here, I plan on exploring everywhere. I spent years exploring the Cascade Mountains and summited Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, South Sister and litany of other peaks. Backpacked around the Three Sisters loop and Timberline Trail. Punished myself on Mt. Defiance in the Gorge multiple times, explored all the waterfall trails and volcanics of Central and Southern Oregon. Actually proposed to my wife on top of South Sister. I like how you talk about the geological formations as I always had an interest in that stuff. We actually just had a 6.5 earthquake the other day which was eerie. Got home from picking the kids up and then it hit, shaking our building. You lose equilibrium and almost become dizzy from it and the visuals are freaky. Hanging lights above the kitchen island swaying like pendulums, grandfather stopped and almost tipped over and the mirror on the wall was swinging back and forth and our building didn’t settle for about ten minutes. But Idaho is no stranger to earthquakes with documentation going back to the 1800’s. Borah peak was raised and the Lost River Valley dropped eight feet from the 1983 quake. Must be from the Continental Divide or Yellowstone complex. Anyway, sorry for writing a book. I did contact the owner of Beartooth Publishing out of Bozeman because I think he makes some of the best waterproof trail maps. I told him he should come out here and map all these areas because Idaho has hardly any Topo trail maps of the Seven Devils, Selkirks, Owyhees, The River Of No Return Wilderness, Big Horn Crags, the Lost River Range, the Lemhi Range, Sawtooth’s, White Clouds and Caribou-Targhee National Forest and even the Wallowas in Eastern Oregon. He said he would put it on his list.
Beautiful area! Thanks! We were in the Idaho part of Hells Canyon area a few years ago in July and hiked near a fire lookout - we were hot! We didn't find any beautiful lakes :) But the river area is amazing!
love it - was just up on mt adams at wallowa lake where u can see the 7 devils on a clear day! :) pure awesomeness! nice camp! nice dinner you caught there! the only bad part of this hike - was the part when u had to go home eh? :)
Awesome video. Informative..funny...those fish are bangers are they cutthroat? Maybe if I went to Babylon Mountain maybe I wouldn't talk to much... or maybe it would give me powers to talk in many languages. However, I want to go there
You’re brave to hike out into the wilderness & camp in a tent all alone. I’d be so freaked out the whole time!

wow, beautiful! Amazing scenery. That looks like a great backpacking trip! I have to see that area
That looks so beautiful and peaceful.
It is, except the part where I’m carrying a bunch of gear up and down rock faces. Thanks Rochelle-The Bajan Stroke Survivor!
@@theidahonian5321 Hahahaha, yea there is that, but the scences make up for the trek 😊.
Rocking it Kenny! That's a view! Didn't know about the Oregon plate. It's ok if fishing wasn't great, the landscape makes up for it. Cool spot! 😃
Yep, these days I spend more time playing with cameras than with fishing gear. Thanks Within Hiking Distance!

Any good footage I make is perfectly accidental, although it’s hard not to get some good shots in a terrain like Seven Devils... Thanks KrizAkoni!
I’m looking forward to backpacking with my son/grandsons in a couple of weeks! I guess I will need to get a fishing license now. Great video Kenny!
Man fishing that lake looks incredible. Nice catches dude!
Yeah, biggest trouts I’ve landed in awhile. Thanks Imagine Acre Wood!
