This was the exact moment Roger MacKenzie stole half of my heart [the other half already belonged to Jamie, Claire, Young Ian, Marsali and Fergus], this was the exact moment I knew, no matter what he did in the future, Roger Mac had become one of my favorite Outlander characters !! .
Jamie loved Claire at first sight so he no circumstance would have swayed him from choosing her; Roger is from a different time where honor and all that isn't weighing on his mind but all the trauma and misunderstandings he's faced on top of becoming a father. He just needed a little time to be sure and sit with himself.
The kind of doubt Roger experienced and the whiplash Briana got from it - never should exist in a romanticized way. These two were messy, they fight and don't really give off the "fated to be together" vibes that we get from Jaime and Claire.
It's interesting Roger is Brianna 2nd cousin 4th great grandson. Would make Roger her cousin but of crouse the most recent ancestors they have would be Brianna great grandparents which would be Roger 7th great grandparents so it's so many generations ago I say their good to date.
If this is when Roger came back to Breanna after Jamie gave him to the Indians, then This is not at all like the reunion happened in the book. Roger in the book is far more impressive and shows his McKenzie side and strength. In the book Roger is nearly as big as Jaimie is. And Breanna is nearly 6 ft tall herself.
@@BelindaTN I’m glad I’m not alone. I’ve never been so aggravated by any character in a show. Lizzie is almost as badly cast except she’s not such an important character. The show is SO well done otherwise but surely they could’ve found more suitable actors for these 3 in particular! What were they thinking?

Unpopular opinion hear but i think brianna deserves far better then roger lets face it roger isn't even close to jamies level when it comes to being chivalrous, courteous or considerate and i can never forgive him for abandoning brianna right after taking her virginity and just leaving her at the mercy of his shipmates if it were jamie he would have insisted on staying by her side if not as a lover or her husband/bf then atleast as a friend just to make sure she reached her mother unmolested
I JUST hate his wig (all his wigs btw.). Most of the male wigs here are awful but his are by far the worst (even worse than Lord John's)! Seriously painful to watch!!!
@@Aritul She was so awful to Claire when she found out about Jamie… She told Claire she wished it was she that died instead of Frank… She was mean to Roger… And then when she went through the stones she was so mean to Jamie telling him that she has a father.. How about when Jamie beat up Roger and she blamed Jamie instead of Lizzie? After that, no matter what she did I couldn’t stand her
I have never HATED a TV or film character more than Brianna. And Roger is a close second. These two are SOOOOOOO miscast in their roles, it's actually laughable. And there is ZERO chemistry between them. They are a joke. It's embarrassing.

Having him follow Brianna through the stones only to have him yell at her about how resentful he was that all she left behind was a letter for him. Really you track her down to whine about how hard done by you are when you were broken up.

They are both badly cast but especially Bri because Sophie looks soooo off & cannot act at all. I want to scream every time I’m forced to watch her.
