Dosto if you are Travelling first time in puri and specially taking chilika tour , then you can face this scam in front of you. few people will come and try to sell you fake gem stone and pearl. Believe me guys these all are fake don't buy these fake products. If you are visiting chilika lake then Just roam around the island and enjoy the boat ride never buy anything in chilika.
Chilka is a brackish water lake in Odisha state of India. It is the largest brackish water lagoon formed from bay of Bengal in India. This is one of the attractive tourist destination , in winter Lots of migratory Birds come in this lagoon which increases it's beauty manifold.

There's no point to pay for those fake stones, just checked with any jewellers in your area they can tell you the real price of that stone

We are at chilka lake..they told is its a must visit...but Its all seems like time wasting now...nothing to see ..just like a simple river view with extra heavy charges...and we also bought some gems costing us whopping amount of rs 10000...right now not sure whether fake or real...will show to some jewellers in home town...

They are cultured seashells in a farm… thes fake pearls, opal and red stones which are worthless are inserted during early stages of development. The flesh develops around and the shell hardens… they break open in front of you and take out after grown…
Only few sea shells will have natural pearl… only pearl and nothing else… all these are scam
