It must be so hot sitting in the sun all day long, for hours and risking for skin cancer, just to add some color to pink skin, or spending so much money on suntan lotion, and ending up with two different skin tones afterwards, part of the skin that was covered with clothing is still pink and the other parts of the skin that had sun exposure tanned, I know she is grateful for not having pink skin like a raw chicken 🤣🤣

Destiny Marshall I only straighten my hair during the winter. Also use a Conditioner and deep conditioner that has silicon in it. I recommend silicon mix or kanechom to deep condition your hair with. You can find both on Amazon and they're affordable. This will help prevent the humidity from getting to it. Hope this helps!
As soon as you finish straightening your hair, wrap it in a very tight bun and cover it with a silk scarf. The hair is very prone to humidity as soon as you straighten it, keeping it wrapped for the first 15-20 minutes after you're done will help avoid the immediate after straightener puff.

Maybe you could try asking your mom to let you do your own hair every XX amount of days kinda like a trial run. Then your mom will start trusting you as she sees that you can do your own hair. get a light hair spray and spray your hair (just a bit! cuz hair spray isnt great for hair) before straightening. Then I believe Tresemme has a anti-humidity spray that I use after straightening and it works wonders. My straight hair when I went natural never held for more than like 3 days and now it can last 2 weeks with maybe 1 touch up at the end of the first week

@@isleyi omg, wow, I forgot that I even made that comment, but yes. My hair has grown back so long since then. My hair is healthy and I take very good care of it. It is currently down to my lower back, but I’m still working on growing it down to my butt.

Maybe you could try asking your mom to let you do your own hair every XX amount of days kinda like a trial run. Then your mom will start trusting you as she sees that you can do your own hair. To be honest with you, my mother didn't let me do my own hair until I was 17 :P which is kinda embarrassing for me but my mom didn't trust me to not destroy my hair.

Before my hair is straightened, the curls bring my hair to shoulder length, but after I straighten my hair, my hair reaches past the middle of my back!!! It takes like an hour and a half to do my hair but it's always worth it.
God I wish that FLorida wasn’t so humid I straightened my hair for a wedding and 10 minutes after I stepped out the door it started to poof up and all my hard work was for waste

You are drying your hair, try wrapping your hair, or look up what a Dominican *tubi* is
get a light hair spray and spray your hair (just a bit! cuz hair spray isnt great for hair) before straightening. Then I believe Tresemme has a anti-humidity spray that I use after straightening and it works wonders. My straight hair when I went natural never held for more than like 3 days and now it can last 2 weeks with maybe 1 touch up at the end of the first week
