I’m the Trumpet Soloist/screamer in the closer. Best summer of my life. I wasn’t planning on marching in 2011 but Brad Green reached out and asked if I was interested. Hands down one of the best decisions of my life. To play that during the 10th anniversary was Magical.

Brad Green writes our music now at my corps! And almost all of our brass staff marched at scouts, a lot of them marched that show too.

I have watched this closer a hundred times. Absolutely unbelievable what MS did with this tune. A song I never loved, was sick of hearing, but I have watched this a hundred times in the last few days. So sick!!! Dude at 11:57, left, has my heart. He KNOWS they are kicking ass and he loves it!!!
Having the color guard in suits to look like businessmen is so unique and so strange but honestly really cool.
I was in the stadium that night! Such an emotional show and the closer is hands down the best closer in DCI history!

It’s old school corps mentality added to Alicia Keys. Nice mix of old and new.

Because DCI judges don’t place a high importance on the entertainment and crowd pleasing qualities of a show.
This show solidified for me how unimportant placement is, ultimately.

One of my trumpet students was a rook out with Madison 2011. Talk about getting to be part of such an iconic show that will last forever. This one is in my top 10 list of all time favorite DCI shows. Thanks so much for sharing.

@@bigmane-money5216 It's pretty cool but the writing and visual design is a long shot from this. Hoping the 2022 show will be at this level.
12 and 13 were both pretty great. I kind of fell out of touch with drum corps after that (had kids) so I can't say much about '14-'19. Went to my first show in a decade yesterday and brought the kids, Madison's still got it.
