- The third season of Netflix's "Travelers" finds Grant MacLaren (Eric McCormack) and his team of highly-trained operatives from the future pushed to the limit and dealing with themes of loyalty, trust, death, and the ever-growing power of Artificial Intelligence. With their existence now leaked to the world, the team must find a way to keep knowledge of the Travelers program from the general public, while continuing to perform missions under the watchful eye of the FBI. Each team member will face their own personal breaking point, all while trying to stop the Faction, hunt down elusive Traveler 001, and to save the world from a terrible future.

Season 3.... just WOW! such a roller coaster. Patrick Gilmore acting as David, in more than one episode, just hits you right in the feels :'(, which is something you just dont expect from this type of series, I enjoyed it as hell! And the ending is just classic of a sci-fi series, leaves you shocked and wanting more. Great series 100% recommended

Yeah there's definitely going to be a season 4. They wouldn't put us at such a cliffhanger otherwise. We didn't see what ended up happening to mclaren. There's a season 4 100%.

@Nayaka Wicaksana the message was that this path doesn't work. A different path must be taken. My guess is that what we watched is the director's simulation to find a viable route.
I dont think there's a 4th season coming. I think we are the second version. We saw the mistakes. Like David said, its the 21sts job to correct their own mistakes.
It was explained by Trevor that are millions of time lines that the Director may have abandoned. The audience was just witnessing one time line or simulation. Also some travelers arrived with different futures also indicating the Traveler program did change some aspects of the future but the end result or simulation was always the same.....SEASON 4!
I love TRAVELLERS. I really don't want this show to ever end. But I hope they keep the show emotional like season 1 , than going down the pure action/sci-fi route.

I feel the opposite. I enjoy it for the sci-fi aspect, and don't care much for all the emotional stuff. To me, delving deeper into the functionality of the director would be much more fascinating than a love story arc. I'd also love for them to explore more how the nanites and other future tech works in upcoming seasons.
@@Fermion. I understand why you feel that way but they wont because the whole point of it on the show is that it creates beautiful metaphor for religion and God. If an AI like the director did exist, we wouldn't be able to understand it (AI's we dont understand already exist today in limited forms). If it had the ability to decide the course of history and control life and death, it would be for all intensive purposes, God. The idea that despite thousands of years of technological advancements, our fate still depends on blind faith in a higher power is powerful. Even more powerful is the idea that this higher power (like religion) came from us and needs us just as much as we need it . IMO thats why they keep it vague and dont spend time coming up with convoluted psuedo science to explain everything. I think the point is that ultimately all of the tech doesn't matter.
@@Prince36300 I'm just biased because I work with Tensorflow GPU algorithms at work, and it never ceases to amaze me what AI is capable of. And you're right, we don't really understand AI now. For instance, the hidden layers of a deep neural network are completely hidden, meaning when AI comes to a conclusion we have no idea how it got there.
Unfortunately, you do make a good point with the God comparison. They'll probably focus more and more on that angle and less on tech, which will greatly reduce my interest in the show.
Netflix tend to Cancel hit shows and it is unfair to the people who have paid to subscribe to watch there shows. Very bad move

Me too Dimitri Weekes! It was a sad and very emotional episode to watch with Marcy and David. And I am also counting on it that they make a season 4 I was not happy at the ending. Hopefully when Agent Grant Mcclaren went back in time to the day of the 9/11 in New York City he could change the outcome in the future 16 years later for Marcy and David of what had happened to them.
I literally held out hope til the last. Up until he said "Protocol Omega". Reminded me of how I felt when they killed off Camille in The Originals
I didn't know they were Canadian. Dave made me cry more than once. I hope to see them in more of these guys in the future.
Love how Eric took the time to say something wonderful about each of his co-stars. So humbling.
The season 3 ending has me worried, I love this show.
they got good acting. sometimes i find my self wondering which side is really the good guys i mean making up that fake vid of the wife wanting to forget what she went through really questioned my loyalty on the directors side lol but this show is really underated

Mo Anttz the ending is that Mclaren used 001s consciousness to transfer himself to 2001 in New York where the 001 should be showing up. Then he wrote emails in the deep web to tell the director traveler program would have failed. Then the director stopped sending traveler 001.After all that the everyone started a new life in this timeline, and the screen said “traveller program version 1 failed, traveller program version 2 begins. So it means there should be more seasons......
They are right. This show is so bingeworthy. I watched all 3 seasons in a row. Can't wait for Season 4.
I am an old StarGate SG-1 fan...have the entire 10 seasons on DVD. Stumbled upon Travelers on Netflix and loved it...watched the first 3 or 4 episodes without stopping and then finally saw the name Brad Wright,,,it all made sense then, even some appearances from Carter (Amanda Tapping) ..hope they continue with season 4!

Amanda is the only female Director that impresses me currently. She is at the top of her game as a Director. Hollywood's always pushing the idea on everyone that there needs to be more female Directors- well Amanda is the one to rally behind because she gains respect the only way it can be gained- by earning it with hard work and talent. She doesn't have to rely on bad politics to virtue signal people into accepting her.
We don't need more female Directors- we need more GOOD Directors- and their gender is irrelevant.

I loved Travelers so much. I´m really hoping they make season 4. It has many cliffhangers and so it makes you addicted to it. Sometimes I even watched like 8 episodes a day. Please, Netflix don't disappoint us.
That s3 ending was so dark, I had to watch an episode of the good place just to shake it off. Its so depressing how close to reality this show could be considering our current attitude towards climate change. AI might seem like the scariest threat rn but in reality we've always been our own worst enemies.

I need season 4, Im a traveler junkie. This show has captured my attention more than any other on netflix. Its looks like a mainstream network TV show but its not corny, it has much more substance and the quality is unrivaled. IF you have not you need to watch the first 3 episodes and you will end up watching all 3 seasons.

I just found this show and binged all 3 seasons. They became my friends. I'm sad it's over and I can't find another show that makes me feel as good as this one does.

Stumbled upon it and it was just so good. So many interesting plots and characters in such an interesting world.
I was so worried and in that episode where it looked like Trevor was going to die. Sure take out the old one first. Lol that was my reaction, but what had happened to David hit me like a ton bricks I didn't see that coming. Anymore than I see what was coming next with Marcy. So please Netflix you have to do a season 4 I need to know what happened after Agent Grant Mcclaren went further back in time to the day of the 9/11 terrorists attack in New York City. I need to know if Agent Mcclaren was able to fixed what happen 16 years in the future?
What happened to Marcey. Was foreshadowed in the beginning of the last episode of season 3.

@@JoshHowardChannel Except, that was the real, original Marcy before the travelers and 001 messed up her mind. I like that they ended up finding each other, but it's not the same person. They shouldn't immediately "click" (if at all).
The actress who plays Marcy did a friggin amazing job. When she acted as having special needs, it was spot on (from a family with some mental retardation).
I am confused though. When she was at the Institution, I thought they said she was an orderly. But the real Marcy identified herself as a nurse.
Season 3 had a perfect ending (even if it wasn't one I'd prefer lol). I still hope the show continues on for many more seasons. I'm curious what became of Mac. When he locked himself in the man's office, at the end, the man asked 'who's this guy'. I wonder if he continued the FBI path.

I was referring to when the historian sees a time line where she shoot herself. She ends up doing that. However for a very different reason from the other possible time line.

There will definitely be a season 4 because of the fact that Mac sent himself back 17 years to send that message to the director to not send 001 because the first timeline failed because of protocol OMEGA. So hypothetically speaking at the end of the last episode you can say Mac was already in the version 2.0 of the traveler program because 001 never got sent back and there were no planes that hit the twin towers. So in this very moment it is save to say Mac is already in the new timeline which is traveler program 2.0 I’m not sure if the cast will be the same because it is a new timeline but if it is the only 2 that will remember is Phillip because he’s a historian and he was able to view different timelines simultaneously and Mac because he came from the first timeline into the 2.0 timeline of the traveler program.
P.s.
I am currently rewatching all 3 seasons because when Phillip started getting visions from the different timelines I’m taking a wild guess we were getting a look into what’s gonna happen in season 4 since it will be a new timeline. Like when he had the vision of when he woke up next to Carly and she said “ I’m glad you asked me for that cup of coffee” or when he went to Marcy apt and saw different versions of Marcy and David having a baby. Or even when Trevor was helping him meditate and he saw different versions of Trevor jumping around in the garage yelling out “ road trip “. So I’m sure the producers knew what they were doing throwing those Easter eggs in front of us. So definitely rewatch the series and you’ll see what I’m talking about. 💯

Great show and the only one of many time travel shows still on the air. Enrico Colantoni is a great actor (e.g. Elias in person of interest) so this season should be amazing (haven't watched any yet).

Travelers is a million times better than Will and Grace show. Yet it stopped at season 3???? Why??? Amazing storyline, action, sci-fi, romance, drama, so heartfelt. It is an outside-of-the-box show. So addicting. There are things worth spending our time doing and Travelers was definitely one of them for me. So sad to see some shows continue on and on for no real good reason and others shutdown that are so amazing. I do not watch Will and Grace and am not planning on doing so any day soon, but if Travelers continues, I would be the first to watch. Hoping for future seasons 😬

Season 4 must have the same cast, amazing acting skills, each one of them, version 2 must have some sort of light comic touch to it as well like season 3 had. Very captivating show.
it doesn't make sense a 4th season. None of the stars had any connection unless it was for the travelers. Marcy isn't a host candidate anymore. I don't know about the others. What would you want for the next season? an utopian future? As much as I love this series and would be thrilled for more seasons, I think this would be a perfect ending, it leaves you with the thought that the only responsible for human extinction is humans themselves. I could go on about this but I'd like a response.
