It's about love, this was all an opium induced dream. But yeah, it's about a love affair.

@@fatpowerful if you think about it HALLOWEEN was sort a love story in its own right, Michaels love for his little sister and family spurned a maddening fury toward their stepfather which drove him to a murderous mindset of insanity. This is more or less the same type of madness which Berlioz's emotions for his beloved drove him to such a state of mind that he wanted to commit suicide. but, due to the lowered amount of opium he induced caused a comatose state, dreamed of murdering his beloved and being executed for it.
