On top of household shelter and storey shelter, there's also staircase shelter where basically the staircase doubles up as a storey shelter. Personally I think this is the most efficient design. Not only does it protect the people inside, it also protects the staircase which will then allow people to descend to the ground floor on their own without requiring SCDF intervention.
I think HDB should follow the condo designs which is to remove bomb shelters from individual units and put it at the staircase instead. It is better because it is bigger and you can descend without SCDF assistance
This is good for people with mobility challenge. But Stairways Bomb Shelter is the best effective design. Reduces the need to get help from rescuers. Coz in war, not all rescuers can reach all those who need them immediately. Thus, it saves a lot of people too
