I wish but no, it was rumored to be planned for development at one point but officially the story is that Disney feels it would be a waste since the original 2001 release did not do financially well at the box office, despite its cult following in later years… Perhaps someday tho, maybe we could start a petition? Who would you get to direct?

Omg great choice… Personally I would love to see Ridley Scott or James Cameron’s take on the story and how they flesh out the world..
