    What a sweet ride I'm a big fan of the 1970 Fury my uncle had one with a factory 440 6 bbl and it would scoot.

      The 440 "six-pack" was only available on the Sport Fury GT, bitchen car. The headlights & hood make this a Sport Fury built in Plymouth's best years; way ahead of Ford & GM; the cops loved 'em;

      @@fuselagefuryhemij6148 It was available with 440 four BBL or 440 six BBL. very rare.

    Nice car though

    • @johnsimpson5406
      @johnsimpson5406 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah, I'm with you, but I figured it would have to be the current generation HEMI, since the 426s of that era could not fit into the engine bays of any of the "C" body platforms of those days, believe it or not. With the HEMI heads and exhaust manifolds on, the HEMI was wider than the 440, and thus couldn't be shoehorned in, even with major surgery to the engine compartment, which would then have to be reinforced after the fact, and that wouldn't be practical for mass production purposes. This was explained to the media back then when the Hurst/Chrysler 300 was introduced, and the question was posed, by the media [Motor Trend Magazine], as to why the HEMI wasn't in the Hurst/Chrysler 300.

      @@johnsimpson5406 wow interesting- it's hard to imagine they could fit a Hemi into the 'Cuda but not into a boat like the Fury.

      @@JackF99 JackF, sorry I didn't get to respond to your comments due to the half-assed algorithm that these moron computer people have set up, didn't allow for this video to show up on my recommened viewing until now and I didn't receive any of the likes notifications after the second like comment notification.
      Anyhow, in response to your posted comment, as I stated before it is common knowledge amongst the Mopar faithful about the HEMI not fitting in the full size "C" bodies of the "Fuselage Design" era, in spite of how large they were inside and out.
      As to your references to the HEMI fitting in 'Cuda's, allow me to clarify, with no disrespect to you.
      If you are referring to the "E" body
      'Cudas, and Challengers, of the era keep in mind that the "E" bodies were variants of the "B" body platforms (GTX,ROAD RUNNER,SATELLITES,
      CHARGER,CORONET, SUPER BEE,etc),and thus the design specifications, measurements and tooling were already in use for the current "B" bodies as well as the next generation "B" bodies to be introduced in 1971.
      If you are referring to the "A" body
      HEMI equipped Barracudas, and Darts of '67- '69 generation, please be aware that these cars were pulled from the production line, and sent out to a subcontractor for installation of the HEMI, and the necessary surgery to accomplish this, along with other modifications necessary to reinforce and complete the cars. Also these "homologation" vehicles, for compliance under NHRA rules, were sold with the understanding that while street legal, in the broadest sense of the term, they were for use in sanctioned racing events. It even stated as such on the window sticker for those few rare and valuable vehicles. Any questions?
