Kindly Note: The journey duration is only 5-6 hours. I made a mistake with the timings in the video. The 6:45am Bus will reach Malacca before 13:00 hours and not 16:00 hours.
Firstly, thank you for such a crisp and precise explanation! But confused by the bus timings. You mentioned starting at 6.45 am and arrival at 16:00 pm But when you look for the bookings online it shows the timings to be 6am ish to 11am ish arrival (a duration of 4-5 hours) Which one is it exactly? A clarification would really be helpful!
My Sincere apologies. Yes, for the 6:45am bus you will reach by 11-12 ish. I must have got confused with the timings. Thank you for letting me know. Appreciate it. 🙌🏻
Hello, Great video ! Few questions: 1) How long does the bus stop for a lunch/dinner ? 2) Can we eat inside the bus ? 3) What is the best Luxury Bus Company that run from Mallaca to Singapore ? 4) Since I will be travelling from Mallaca to Singapore...Can I exchange money and also buy a Singapore SIM Card at the Immigration or ??? Thank you very much for your help. Keep the great job !
Hi Antonio, thank you for watching and for your questions! Here are the answers to your queries in order: 1. The bus typically stops for 40-50 minutes. 2. Eating inside the bus is not permitted, but you can discreetly snack on something small-just avoid bringing beverages in takeout containers, as they won’t let you board with those, and you might have to throw them away. 3. I haven't tried enough services to pick the best one, but I had a good experience with Luxury Coach Service. 4. Due to the limited time for the immigration process, you definitely don’t want to be left behind. I’d recommend getting a SIM card in the city instead of at the border. Hope this helps!
Thanks mate, good video. We are planning to travel from Singapore to Melacca then travel around Malaysia for a month or so. We will then travel to Thailand but at this stage don't have onward travel booked, will this be required?
Hi Sam..your blog was very informative. I plan to travel from singapore to Malaysia and return to India via Malaysia. So i have a query regarding Singapore Tourist Visa. Do Singapore Embassy in India issue a Tourisy Visa, if I dont hold a direct Return ticket to India but instead exit to Malay and fly back to India. It would of great help and I would be very obliged getting this info from you. Thank you
Hello and thank you. Regarding your query about the Singapore Tourist Visa: You can indeed return to India from Malaysia, as long as you have the necessary visas for each country you visit. The key point is that if you hold a single-entry Singapore visa, you won't be able to re-enter Singapore after visiting Malaysia. If you plan to return to Singapore after Malaysia, you should apply for a multiple-entry visa. As for whether the Singapore Embassy in India will issue a tourist visa without a direct return ticket to India, generally, as long as you have a valid plan for your return journey, the absence of a direct return ticket may not be an issue. However, visa requirements can vary, so I recommend contacting the Singapore Embassy directly or checking their official website for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Very very informative blog. Intend to enter Malaysia from Singapore overland, being an Indian citizen, very soon. So, needed this information badly. Shall feel obliged, could you please share the following details. 1) Were you really granted visa free entry at the Malaysian immigration? 2) Were you asked for onward air ticket? 3) What about the MDAC FORM? Did you have to mention the bus no., while filling the mdac form? Please advise. Thank you.
Thank you so much. Now answering to your questions, The Singapore immigration is completely automated so no immigration officer to ask any questions. Just scan passport and clear biometrics. And at the Malaysian immigration, during my time the immigration officer did not ask any questions and directly stamped the passport. But again it all depends on them, so keep all your documents ready and proceed for the immigrations. Return Air ticket or Bus ticket would be necessary. Don't take any chances. The MDAC(Malaysian arrival card) to be filled online and no bus details were to be mentioned at that time (Beginning of 2024). You can check the form details online. I'm happy to answer if you have any more doubts. Thanks
Without the immigration office operating, no vehicle would be allowed to pass through. Therefore, if a bus is running at that time, the immigration office must be open; otherwise, the bus wouldn't be operating.
Traffic conditions are unpredictable, but it does get crowded towards the afternoon. Therefore, it is best to take the earliest bus out of Singapore. In Singapore, I choose the Bugis Metro station as the pickup point. There are other pickup locations, which you can check when you book your bus ticket.
The immigration process typically takes less than 20 minutes, but this can vary depending on the crowd. On weekends, there tends to be more people, so the process may take longer. You get the idea
You can book online from websites like 12Go Asia or busonlineticket.com and you'll get an e-ticket. Else You can visit any travel agencies and ask them to book for you. I would recommend to book Online
