late '90s to early '00s, slapshock at wolfgang ang dalawa sa mga banda na kinamulatan ko na legit pang international ang datingan. slapshock "helped" me transition to heavier/extreme side of metal today, along with other nu-metal bands. they're one of the really few pinoy metal bands that influenced me.
this is a sad moment in the local rock and metal community, and opm in general. pero despite that, nakakataba din ng puso dahil ang dami palang tao ang nakakalala at nagmamahal kay jamir at ang kanyang contribution sa music, despite na generally "iniiwasan" ang maiingay na genre ng karamihan ng tao, lalo na dito sa pinas.
rest in power, sir. you may have gone, you have solidly built a legacy in the local metal scene.
Still can't believe and felt so heavy right now! I have been a fan of slapshock since 2005 after I first heard their song 'Madapa ka ft Gloc 9' and first saw them perform at UP fair way back in 2007 together with my college friends. And up to this day I'm still a big fan of Slapshock even though I'm not able to go and see their gigs.
