So happy I am getting someone ekse ti fi my taxes, used to curse fir a couple if months during taxes. Don't see mince pies often in the USA, at least where I live. And i do miss my mother's curries, she only used it with leftover lamb, but you can use sny thing leftover pretty much.
Hi Tracy, yes if I get something made for me, it tastes better. Gary is quite a cook.we have "allspice" which sounds like what you put in that pie. Our mince pie is a dessert- doesn't have any meat
You don't need to freeze chocolate, it will keep for a year in room temperature! The discolouration is perfectly OK and doesn't affect the taste. The reason I kerp my 85% Lindt chocolate bar in the fridge is simply because of the room temperature rarely goes below 80°F. I also have an ant infestation and fridge and freezer are the only places I can safely store food.

Growing up in Louisiana, we just learned to keep certain things in the fridge away from ants and roaches. Now I just do it from habit.
