Most humans faced with a question seek only to find an acceptable resolution in their mind. A belief that satisfies the hunger for understanding. Which is confused with a hunger for truth. It doesn't take much to satisfy that urge. So belief will be reached far short of the vast truth of any particular thing. Then the urge goes away, perfectly content to leave it at the understanding they've attained. Oblivious to the fact that there is always more to see. This is true up and down the scale of awareness. We assume we see enough to determine there's nothing more to see. But we are wrong, history has shown it, it's not until we stumble on to something or expand in other ways that we're able to see a bit more of that truth. About things we previously believed to be solved. This is the process of life, to steadily refine our ability to see something/everything for what it truly is. Yet we prevent and llimit ourselves from doing it by assuming our current belief is whole and final.

A friend of mine told me a few years ago he was going on a retreat in South America. He took something there, but it was not a positive outcome as Graham talks about here. Whatever he took it changed him for the worse. He came back a very judgmental person, and profoundly narcissistic with no fliter anymore. He said he was enlightened now, and would go back to do more of it every summer. It cost him his friends and his job, but I guess he found something else. It reminded me of what a prof told me years ago about being a user, that it reveals bare a lot of what people are under the surface, and the hard truth is most people from day to day barely keep that darkness in check. Enlightenment my ass.

@@Marko-xc4vn If it was purely for recreation I think you can make that argument. But if it is a roll of the dice whether you get positive or negative outcomes [that are life changing] I don't see the point. The last few generations we have been taught that simply taking this or that opens the mind or will fix our problems, it seems far healthier to assume that is just another short cut someone found and there are other ways, like meditation, etc.

I can understand how this could happen. I think there’s an important distinction between a change in state and a change in stage. Psychedelics can offer a temporary change in state, revealing new concepts and knowledge. But it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve had personal growth which takes quite a bit of time and effort. Without the personal growth the ego can run amok with these new insights. It takes more than just drugs to grow and evolve as a person.

The more he speaks about DMT the more I remember about a single ecstatic seizure I had many years ago. It left me with more questions than answers. It took many years for me to find answers that explained my journey. It was a myriad of life experience in a single moment where time did not exist but my consciousness remained. Very similar to the stories of NDE's I have also heard.

The soul inside your human body is 100% perfect and can never be hurt or destroyed. Our consciousness will be back to full function once we cross over or pass away in the future. Again, nothing that happens to the Earthly human body or brain can affect the soul consciousness. Whether it’s an illness or from being wheelchair bound from a birth defect or an accident somewhere along your life, nothing can hurt or damage who we really are. We are beings from another dimension who inhabit these host human bodies whilst living out our time on Earth learning lessons about living in and on a primitive, 3 dimensional planet and realm. This is what WE really are, not the human you see in the mirror every day.
I know this isn’t easy to understand or hear but ‘we’ are the real aliens from another realm-universe that are here just visiting this planet for just a short period of time. Our avatars, (human meat suits) can be completely destroyed on Earth but our true bodies are indestructible and our ‘real’ spiritual bodies which are no more then a ball of light basically, will pop out at the time of death of the human avatar were in.
Once our Earth body dies, the real spiritual cosmic light beings that we truly are, will immediately go through a long worm-hole like ‘tunnel’ that will take us back to the realm we originally come from ‘where your truly from’ that resides in the 5th dimension. One of the first things you will realize is that you no longer have your human mouth to speak with, you will revert back to talking telepathically to all who cross your path and within a few moments you will immediately remember where you’re at and who you really are because that realm is our true home, not Earth.
All our knowledge from before going to Earth is instantly restored to us. Most everything we got use to on Earth will now go back to the way it use to be before you left during the past lifetime you just left. For example, your eye sight will return to being able to see in a 360 degree view with your 5 dimensional eyes and you will see colors that you’ve never seen before since you no longer have your primitive, physical three dimensional Earth eyes.
Also, you will travel at the speed of light, no more walking. All you have to do is think about where you want to go and your instantly there! You will be able to fly like a bird but much much faster and you will be able to go through walls or structures at will. Earth is not the end of our existence or experience, it’s only the beginning of another chapter or cycle of reincarnation that we have all gone through thousands of times over a vast expanse of time. If you only knew the magnificent wonders that awaits you, it would make you the happiest you’ve ever been in your entire lifetime and would be eagerly awaiting your return home.
You can never get hurt, never get tired, you only eat if you want to, not because you have too. You can go out anywhere into the cosmos you want, to explore and check out planets and moons. You can even go into black holes if you want to without the fear of getting hurt.
To learn more about this if I’ve peeked your interest, just go to search and look up the letters, NDE. That stands for ‘near death experience’. Watch all that you can, because each one is so vastly different and you will gain knowledge from each person that you watch and they will teach you something new you haven’t learned before.
I’ve seen hundreds of videos on this subject and it’s changed my life forever and yours will forever be changed too! Once you learn the truth of our existence it’s hard not to try and learn everything you possibly can. The government and the Vatican has known the truth for a very long time but kept it secret because they didn’t want us to know of our real realities and true existence.
They’re afraid if everyone learns the truth, they’ll lose power over us and they don’t want that. They like to keep the sheep locked up inside the pen! When searching on TH-cam for NDE’s, try one of my favorite people that has a podcast on this topic, his name is, Jeff Reynolds and his TH-cam channel name is (JeffMara Podcast), he is the nicest gentleman and has great guests on his podcast.
He has many different types of people on his show with different types of backgrounds like psychics, clairvoyants, mediums, ect, that are very interesting but for everything I’ve been talking about, look specifically for the NDE testimonies, the people that have died for a period of time (some for over an hour long) and then were brought back to life. I hope your journey is wonderful and you have the best time learning the real truth of our existence and where we really come from and will eventually all go back to one day. ❤❤❤

Im so happy he praise Terence Mckenna, he was a true spiritual guide. If only people understand where some of our traditions came from. For example Christmas, decorative mushrooms in the Christmas tree and the presents. This is directly coming from shamans that dry there mushrooms in pinetrees to receive (not a phyical) but spiritual present when undergoing a journey.
Also in my experience a journey is not another realm, but the same reality. However, your ego is completly stripped during a journey, so you expiernce reality without any (ego) filter.

Graham, come up to Vancouver, BC where drugs have been legalized for recreational use and you will understand why they are illegal for recreational use. I once believed in legalization but my eyes are now wide open since this once beautiful city is now riddled with addiction, social disorder, and crime, hence why we and Portland, which also took that leap are now reversing course. I believe in medicinal uses of these drugs but recreational use, especially when it triggers underlying mental illness in many (especially with teens), is a dangerous and socially destabilizing proposition.

Instead what contemporary testing has found is that Diplopterys cabrerana had no 5-MeO-DMT whatsoever, but it instead contains very high levels of N,N-DMT, far more so than Psychotria viridis, the more common admixture plant in ayahuasca known as chacruna.

Similarly, leaving all exaggerated nonsense around Yoga made in the west even in the east to be honest, the original holistic Yogic and meditation practices are aimed towards this state only. But for this firstly the balance in emotions, desire, bodily needs and functions is needed, then such experiences really help on another level and you usually don't end up sounding like a lunatic.

really interesting one. i might make the argument that it is the interaction between “mind” / thoughts / consciousness / ego and “body” / senses / intuition / skills that make humans unique
so if AI, then, is all “mind” and “no body,” to be threatened by AI is to lose sight of what makes the human unique - the interaction between mind and body.
i think that feeling of being threatened is perhaps indicative of a trend where some folks fetishize the mind at the expense of the body. that is, prioritizing ego / self-aggrandizement over skills, or, in other words, valuing appearing to be “cool” or “rich” or anything else over actually building competencies / mastery in a particular domain.

I enjoy Hancock on his stance over Egyptology, but the guys all over the place politically; stating he knows the Republican party priorities individual rights on their human body, when they're going after abortion rights. I have no political agenda here but even I know he's way off here.

Abortion is murder has nothing to do with the right of YOUR body if it’s affecting someone (emphasis on the one in someone) else’s body -.-

Every time he said Dmt I was waiting for Rogan to interrupt.
Then I looked and realized I’m not watching Rogan 😂

I’m sure that it took ages for the combination to develop into the brew. Our measure of time wouldn’t calculate.

I like venturing into the strangeness of Graham and people like him. I like to venture into the ideas that maybe Bigfoot and mothman and aliens exist around us. I believe it and don’t believe it. It’s like watching a movie where if you want to enjoy it you have to shift into that suspension of disbelief mode. In the end, we will find we are all wrong anyway. Even a person who is twice as smart as the average is not smart enough, but it’s the best we got…so far.

I automatically think the brain creates consciousness, as a kind of operating system. Without it, you're stuck on a black screen.
