the song has such big 2014 girl group vibes, an era thats been making a comeback recently on social media kinda like y2k. so i think its rlly smart of them to play into an early 2010s sound
Maybe because they’re not a Kpop gg?? They’re simply just a global girl group. So obviously their not going to take inspo off of Kpop. And Kpop is highly inspired off western artists anyways.
Debut was the debut😹 and also they were never meant to be A kpop global group it was always them being a global pop group that used kpop methodologies 😊
@@lambchops12 because the lyrics say “this ain’t a debut” doesn’t mean you can keep going back to that to prove your delusions they’ve literally said multiple times that it was their debut lordd
The lyric’s not “even if it all burns down”, it’s actually “like a firework over your town, even if it all burns out”. So the message isn’t destructive, but more about shining before your light dims. ❤
But they giving the vibe of a kpop group that’s why they did it they wanted the kpop inspiration on a American international group they trained as a kpop group so what should we call it APOP (American pop) or UPOP (United pop) lol
@@RaymondGO787 just a pop group. They are trained like kpop idols and half managed by a korean company, but their goal is to be global. It's too early in their career for us to say that they sounded kpop. Because the rest of their EP doesn't sound like Kpop. More on Pop music in general.
@@rosyzhao_ph they sound like a kpop group to me honestly the difference is that I actually understand since unfortunately don’t know Korean but there two first song 100% gives kpop the music and the choreography we don’t get that on united state and yess I agree the other 3 songs are more pop but they actually my favorite one you can listen to everyone voices and give each of them a time to shine by showing their vocal range but like you said time will tell but yeah it’s hey are grobal group trained a kpop artist 🥰

I'm so happy they aren't going full kpop with their sound, I'm glad they owning that they are a western group (like they are based in LA).

And?
@@hector_krthey kept referring to them as a kpop group and used that wrong assumption as a reason to critique the more western pop sound
