A little trick I do on fuel filter changing is before tightening it up is switch on the valve and allow it to fill up from the tank. I was working on a Ford 3600 and it had a screen in the tank that clogged up and when I noticed the fuel bowl was slowly filling up I knew that screen was a issue as well. Nicely done. Must do the same on my small GC 1710. Though it was serviced, I saw sediment in the plastic fuel container. I poured in diesel and then looked down into the container and there were nice sized specs of debris. If it's in the container, then I'm sure it went into the tank like that.
I know you have just bought this tractor and probably dont have the money to buy another tractor now especially when you are hoping to build the computer and rc monday,but some day would you be able to buy a vintage tractor that us scrap and restore it.that would be deadly if you could and thanks for the great videos on both this channel and the other and happy new year! +daggerwin +machinery restorer
Wow certainly an old filter I am supprised it still ran. A 3phase generator we have had is service and the firm put a new inline filter installed. but they put it in front of the old dirty one 😡😡 Idiots Lol. I don't like inline ones really that's why I'm looking for a scrap car filter housing much like the one on the MF. Very entertaining video I hadn't realised it had a bleeding system usually I would just fill the bowl with kerosene or red Diesel :)

I have a 1531 with exactly the same filter housing and auto pump but when you turn the key you it makes a noise but you don't get any fuel......
is this a hydraulic trans or clutch and gears?
