I hope everyone goes back to Voobly. DE is weird looking, I don't like the smoothing of textures, it loses the AoE touch to the graphics. Now it looks like any generic RTS.
Well you've got the right to disagree. I have something against HD in games, I can't get to appreciate it. All the games that I like are pixelised. I feel HD is too realistic and it bores me.

maybe it's intentional. Maybe Microsoft wants to sabotage casting so they could use their own casters to increase the popularity of the game and make money on the side. Would be typical Microsoft business strategy tbh. Always destroy foreign markets bring everything into line like the Nazis they are.

I am Serbian but I live in Canada and have canadian citizenship. Age of Empire II is by far my favorite game. I am now watching a Serbian and a Canadian fighting each other on my favorite game ? Is this paradise ?
Daut made one big misplay there xD during the last fight he could just kill 3 mangos and run but instead he went for faithless monks surrounded with pikes and threw away all the knights.
I still use my pointer finger for both buttons with my left hand, but when I switched to right hand mouse I learned it the normal way there, what you are used to is ALWAYS easier lol. (I also use wasd for camera in every game :)
Iv played 4 games of DE, and every single game has had a dropped player. I'm having issues getting people to join my games, seeing other peoples' games, and my cousin cant even see my games unless I invite him. Also, it seems there are some parts of the game that aren't complete. For example, why don't battle elephants and war elephants have sound animations when attacking? Silent tusk smashing. In the interviews the people creating the game said that one laggy gamer wouldn't slow down the whole game. I can say with certainty that this statement is false. The game lags, and when the laggy gamer is dropped/defeated, the game runs smoothly afterwards. I wish I could say I wasn't disappointed with the release of this game. I hate sounding so negative, but I love AOE2 and have been playing since for 17 years. I was so hyped for this release, and now its been 2 weeks and I still can't even get a good game going. I hope the devs can turn this around, I want to play me some solid Age of Empires!!!!!
I'm starting to really dislike monks... they are such a nobrainer counter to Knights/Elephants. There's no counterplay if you don't want to get your knight converted. The conversion resistance of knights should be upped so that a single knight has a chance to kill a single monk...
I play from the Windows Store so I had to go into the Apps and Features part of Windows, Advanced options under Age of Empires II Definitive, and reset the app, now mines works fine.
if the game had no monks you could just mass elephants with trample damage they would even do well vs pikes then u add some archers. And if you use archers vs elephants the elephants would still destroy your base before you clear them up. Needs monks to balance things.
If anyone wants to play online let me know. I'm a filthy casual when it comes to AoE. If someone wants to sort of play against me and sort of help me along in regards to pro tips and game play I'd be more than happy being the punching bag and pupil lol.

I really like this method of casting. We get to see you figure things out about the opponent dynamically. Which is really awesome.

I've been watching your content for over half a year now. Today I bought AoE 2 HD + DE. I controlled by vills like a boss. Feels good, man.

Restart your PC before loading up DE. Don't open any other programs and make sure as few as possible are loading on boot.
