- Brand new Enviro 200 MMC at Enfield bus garage part of a batch for route 192 which Arriva start operating from 9th November 2019. To clarify: EN stands for Enviro. To differentiate between the various types of EN buses, Arriva introduced a third character, i.e. ENS (short), ENL (long), ENX (extra-long) and ENN (nano).
That was good giving us a view before being ravaged by passengers. I can almost smell the newness!
The smell was lovely
seems a shame to infect it with passengers.
These buses certainly look better than the Wright Streetlites that the route 192 currently use under GAL.

I downloaded this bus as a mod on omsi 2, and I can say the mod was modelled extremely well now that I've seen what the bus actually looks like, all to the point of the warning board in the cab

These look much better than the streetlites. I think they suit the route (the front does). All of the bus routes need to have chargers on their buses

Arriva London have lost a lot of routes over the past few years, but have redeemed themself by winning a few contracts for 2020 and 2021.
191 is awarded to Arriva London North at Enfield (E) garage with existing VDL DB300 Wright Pulsar Gemini 2s from routes 106 and 230
202 is awarded to Arriva London South at Norwood (N) garage with new Enviro 400H MMCs
405 is awarded to Arriva London South at South Croydon (TC) garage with new Enviro 400H MMCs.
675 is awarded to Arriva London North at Barking (DX) garage with an existing bus. (I think)

Great video. ☺️ I'm guessing these E200 MMC's have Voith gearboxes but I prefer the ones from 2015 at Dartford Bus Garage (DT) because they have the Allison gearboxes which makes the bus sound better. ☺️
I drove dartfords ones they were a pain for EBS warnings/failures

@Chiltern Transport Productions Just what I thought. I knew these had a 4 speed Voith gearbox. I miss the production of the Allison versions though, they are much better. I prefer the 15 Reg E200 MMC's with the Allison gearbox at Dartford Bus Garage instead of these new ones. ☺️

Interesting that they're brand new but have the old yellow handlebars. Arriva went to cream ones way back in like 2012 no?
To be honest I've no idea what the policy is on hand rails, yellow is brighter and more visible.

Dartford garage also have these buses. On route B13. But they sometimes stray on the 428 and 492 routes.

BristolRE do u get paid every week or is it every year because I'm planning on Joining Arriva Streatham when I have a 2 years driving licence and when I'm like 19 or 20 years old?
Every week, but one week behind. So when you start you get paid wages for week 1 at the end of week 2, the wages for week 2 at the end of week 3, and so on. That's so any overtime or dockets can be calculated at the end of the week. Working weeks in London start on a Saturday and end the following Friday. The office calculates the payroll on the Monday, and you get your wage slip Weds or Thurs and the money is in your bank account on the Friday.

@@BusTrainsGuy18 Not sure on that, it will depend on the individual bus company. When I started it was holding a car licence for one year, but I do believe some companies want to years.
They look nice. You are lucky to have them and your DW411 is like somersets 67600 which spends more time off the road then on.

Have you driven the 192 yet and yeah it’s got USB ports like the new E200MMCs which they have now got on the 364
No, I don't fancy the route so have not bothered to learn it. The only routes I drive from E are the 121, 313 and 377.
BristolRE So you don’t have to drive every single bus route well I can see why you like to stick to the bus routes you prefer driving the most
@@easygo1477 When you start in a bus garage you go on a spare rota, so you would more than one route (may be all, depending on the company policy), after a few months you get allocated a rota and once on the rota (say 121 route) then you only need to work that rota, only time you would other routes would be your choice as overtime, so it's then entirely up to you.

Considering buses have a lot of accidents I really dont understand why they still dont have seatbelts like our enviro 400s. Our new streetlites dont have them either but they have a stupid bouncy seat that nearly throws you out it's that bad.
Compared with cars buses have relatively few accidents, certainly a very safe form of transport. Not sure about seat belts, can't see the passengers bothering to wear them. As a driver I wouldn't want one on town / city work, but maybe outside of towns where speeds reach 50mph it might be an idea to have them as optional.
DW411 yeah an experimental Streetdeck, probably the downfall of Wrights to be fair. The ENNs are cool, better than the current buses on the 192 but expect a few mechanicals on first shift

They will do, it's TfL spec, but after a couple of years when it needs re-gassing you can be sure Arriva won't spend the money so it'll just stop working like on most of our buses.
Great walk around video Peter and already a lot better looking than the WSs. No idea what the extra N stands for could just stand for new but not sure. Pity about DW411 doesn't look it's best and can't see it going back on the road.

Yes until 2 weeks time (9th of November) so we have 14 - 15 days left until it passes to Arriva London along with 34 and the 102 gets retained

Lol, that's the best idea yet! The 'E' stands for Enviro as these buses are Enviro 200's, still not sure about the two 'N's, but they will be related to vehicle type or spec.

N stands for Nano, as in small. Strange as the same length 57 reg E200's on the 318 are still "EN" 🙃

I don’t like them, I use them everyday on the 192, they are dangerous due to breaking, gears and engines throwing me around, even before I’ve had a chance to sit down, the bus starts off, other day almost hurt my shoulder making for the rear seat, as the driver only waits for OAP’s to sit down.

@@zacmirza6498 No, the roads too tight in one or two places, has to be short buses, hence single door. It's all down to cars parking and traffic islands, if TfL wanted to they could sort these issues out with heavily restricted parking but that doesn't go down well with residents.
