For things like school homework, this drawing might be okay but in multiple ways this drawing is extremely inaccurate. To state some of the reasons : Firstly, where are the trigger hairs? A dionaea muscipala has 4-5 trigger hairs on the inside of it to detect movement of its prey. Only when it detects movement twice within a span of 20 seconds does it close around the insect\anarchid. There are no trigger hairs drawn here on this simple sketch. I feel it should've been included. Secondly, a dionaea muscipala does NOT grow leaves. It itself is a leaf. It secretes a sort of stereotypical nectar that attracts the insects\anarchids and leaves them high and chasing for more. In that goal, they move around and the trigger hairs detect the movement and close around it. Thirdly, the soft spikes of the Venus Flytrap are angled towards the plant, not towards the outside. So that the insect\arachnid is caged in and can't escape even if it notices that it has been trapped. Unless it's a wasp, then there is a chance the spikes or the leaf can be chewed through by the insect for it's escape should it have such instincts. Fourthly, most of the time a Venus Flytrap doesn't grow alone. Should the stem be as long as it has been depicted in the video, then the pot should be crowed by Venus Flytraps of all sizes. Although it has been misrepresented, I appreciate the effort and like this video. For people who are doing a bit of in-depth research on Dionaea Muscipala or just insectivorous plants, I suggest you use another reference alongside this one to make adjustments as necessary according to what I have written above.
