    Oh my god. I cannot believe you are showing this plant! I just found you while looking for reviews of bloomscape & in my comment I said I would be ordering this plant...altho I know it as Orchid Cactus. I had 3 of them in Florida...all from cuttings...2 were about 2.5 ft wide & 4ft long some being longer & 1 actually took root in the ground & grew up a mimosa tree...gorgeous...just subscribed!👍wish I had a way to show you its blossoms! Oh yes...I actually had 1 of the big ones sitting in a big plant pot of water...for about a year...& bloomed often

    I always thought cactus plants were prickly but I see that isn't the case. I prefer your propagating tip as it is so much easier than mine. I have never seen rooting hormones before but will look into some. I want to propagate my calathea plant as it is flourishing thanks to your tips :)

      Actually, these cacti DO INDEED have prickly bits, so some may want to wear gloves when handling them! Great point, and should have mentioned this in the video 🤦🏽‍♂️.

      @@TylerMossop I could barely see the prickly bits as it was so shiny.

    You show putting the cutting in a pot alone. Wouldn’t it be better to place several cutting in the pot together, then that would make a fuller plant, not having to be repotted?? I just found you in my search for “Fishbone” cactus. Thanks for any info....I’m new to the “🐟🐠🐡”Fishbone world🌿🌱

      Yup, great callout -- usually I prop them individually, once their is new growth, I'll combine them

    I found one today at Kroger,mickenny,tx. I separated int into 5 plants,4 inch pots to keep and give away. My soil mix is one part perlite to one part cactus soil. I stopped using orchid bark because of the bugs it drew.💚🌿

    Should this plant be repot in winter or spring season?

    • @TylerMossop
      @TylerMossop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say spring after it may have bloomed

    Tyler, feel free to not answer this. It can come across weird, but my friend and I are trying to guess your origins/ethnicity. What are they? : )

      HAHA, I always get this question. In part because EVERYONE has trouble figuring it out. I'm a mix of a bunch of things basically. Canada born and raised, French at heart, parents are Norwegian, British, Scottish, Jamaican, Indian and most likely missing some heritage from somewhere. Thanks for asking!!

      I've lived in Montreal (2004) and Nantes, France (1999). I have degrees in French and Linguistics, taught French for 7 years with the Toronto Distrcit School Board, and absolutely love everything French. More recently, I did graduate school in Business and Data Analytics but French still rules my heart. What about you?
