On one hand it's cool that you can use a slide mounted optic, but on the other hand is there really a point? If I use the slide mounted optic and removed the gun I have the handle now on the back plate. I guess still usable in an emergency, I think I'll just go for a rail mounted option.
The backplate option is MANDATORY for this platform to be reliable. The polymer (regular option) handle stripped out the grooves the 2nd time I charged with it on my G-20. It flexes, twists, and then slips when you pull back on it, and then your gun is JAMMED in the chassis. It's also not easy to get out and kinda dangerous too. Just use the backplate option!
I just bought a Gen 2 for my S&W SD9VE and I can't wait to get it. I'll probably will wait for a Gen 3 to come out for the Canik line up 🤞. I'm totally digging the new setup tho. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work. 👍
I just received my gen2 last week. Then I saw there's a gen3. And my first thought was, figures, I should have waited. But, nah, even though the gen 3 has upgrades, allows for a lot more options and such, the brushes are really cool, not gonna lie....but besides the brushes, I think the gen2 is perfect for me. A couple things for my glock 19.5 mos. 1) I plan on keeping my red dot mounted, can i just use my stock backplate and rack the gun with the red dot? 2) while keeping my red dot mounted, possible to just mount the front pic rail and put a closed-emitter red dot with a high mount on it? Possible with rear pic rail if i shorten that rail? Basically i want to keep my red dot mounted for easy swap to just the handgun while having a more comfortable firing position in the brace with a differen high mounted sight.
CAA i have a question, when running the gen3 setup to use a suppressor remove the brush system which leaves the side mount for the thumb rest mounted by one screw?

could you make a folding brace for the gen 2 that is a few inches LONGER than the current one? i feel my hands and arms are a little cramped toward my body and a few more inches would feel more natural. and when folded it would still keep the same length. thanks for all the great products!

excellent products, but a metal charging handle for the gen 2 would be sweet. regular shape, but metal, because the charging handle only lasts a few boxes of ammo for the shield
I received my gen2 earlier this week. I will say the polymer charging handle does feel rather weak. I can see lots of flex in it. Hopefully it holds up. I’m skeptical
