Edelgard is really the only brave unit I actively use (at least when saves are relevant) since she is still one of the best near saves in the game and the best one to deal with her winter version. I also personally have never really found a good use for Soren so a bit surprised he is in S tier.
Corrin can still work really well. I replaced her B skill with Clever Fighter(from A!Amelia), and replaced her C skill with Breath of Life 4. She dies to most of the meta nukes, so I didn't want her as a save unit. I gave her Celica's Ring, and just have her warp in, blow someone up, and toss down divine vein. I think she works better as a supporty initiator, like this, than she does as a far save. I've had good success with her in Summoner Duels, and she still scores really highly in the arena(especially with High Dragon Wall).
DTM... I know you're a Lucina stan... But imo Lucina is WAAAAY too high I know you ranked her there because of Luin, but if youre gonna do that you have to consider arcanes for everyone (ex Ike with prima, nastrond lyn, etc.) and if you're not... Her support is outclassed by literally any flier or high res unit that can run ploy That being said ill give you a pass since i know it would pain you to put her lower (shes bike tier)
It is a bit tragic how the perception of BRobin has changed after Fehology's worst of tier list dropped, the existence of YMRobin doesn't invalidate his existence just as let's say Summer Gullveig doesn't invalidate BGullveig existence since their roles/classes are not exactly the same, unlike BMicaiah and AMicaiah, your reasoning is solid but the tiering is a bit weird. Regardless, pretty good tier list, hopefully BTiki gets the BDimitri treatment and not the BMarth treatment.
Well yeah... Brave Robin Gimmick was already replaced by his Younger form who actually does damage with any skill while having support. Robin Prf only doing any hexblade damage with only Bonfire and you cant even run Laguz friend if you need a damaging skill
@Maaarrrrk You're absolutely right, still you can't conclude with that: well, now that young Robin exist, BRobin is basically useless and thus C tier when there's a bunch of old non meta relevant brave units ahead of him in this tier list and that makes no sense, sometimes meta isn't about who does best, but who is more available and you can't beat a brave hero in that front.

B!Gullveig down to A, still very good and unique, but powerscaling on nukes is also hard to go around and two of her main attributes (melt damage and movement blocking) are being countered on the current meta. Even AoEs are being countered right now due to our new tools. B!Marianne topB or low A, also a unique unit but requires some setup. Her refine help her a lot to be more consistent but Scowl effects are much more present since B!Robin up to A, support is always good for longevity and he is still a decent melee nuke with extra warping. There's a up/sidegrade in his mini version but you'd still want him / prefer him depending on team comp B!Marth up to B, arguably the top 2 best vantage units and been getting a lot of new tools in the last months thanks to melee infantry of course. Arguably those new skills are even better than his refine. There's also the fact that his Vantage condition depends much more in our team than the opponents team, making it somehow more consistent than a stat check. As all Vantage strats it requires setup, so it's not a stand-alone, but it has a high sealing and uniqueness Your bias for action economy over enemy phase strats shows, but overall great tier list :D
Laguz Friend and Breath of Life 4 have helped my Brave Tiki a lot in the past few months. She went from absolute trash to an actualy decent tank. Bottom D tier at least. (But what Tanks didnt profit from those skills) Funnily enough she is probable the best Young Robin counter in the game since her self exceleration counters Hush Spectrum.
Agreed. I've been using her since her launch & she's been criminally underrated. Her special jump is a great anti scowl option that most tanks don't get.
Going through some damage calculations she holds up pretty well against the more popular ranged nukes. She tanks Duo Lyon, Harmonic Igrene, Duo Robin, and Summer Gullveig because of her green color and high res. Give her Dragon's Roar for better tanking and Hardy Bearing so she'll tank Emblem Celica. Not only does she tank them but she kills them on retaliation. Look forward to her refine because she'll probably be even better. Rip Legendary M Corrin because I think Tiki is better even now😜

The problem is she doesn't have Distant Counter naturally so you have to choose between that or Hardy Bearing Really hoping her refine gets her one of the those 2 abilities and possibly a ploy since she has the resistance for it
B!Celica is an amazing Omni-tank. Her weapon providing Breath cooldown, cooldown reduction after combat, & Healing makes her specials proc every time guaranteed. Shes not great for Galeforce anymore but I've been doing decently well with her in AR offense.
Personally b!dimitri has become my best omni tank with his refine and lf4, i also usually run him with b!soren for the assign decoy near save. Genuinely with lf4 he's been going crazzyyy, minimum A tier for sure
As an old CYL 2nd place winner B!Camilla does not have a PRF skill and can run Far Trace Echoe. Might actually be one of the more interesting units to run that.
I still use B!Dimitri every week in AR with success. I never liked GLR on him because it's too difficult to match the speed of modern units. I use Sacred Cowl with Ike ring, Laguz Friend, and your choice of seal depending on your support unit and who you want to counter. I'll add BoL4 when I get it because for whatever reason I thought I'd pass on that skill. So now I free pull red stones hoping for a stray Edward to show up. 🫠
As THE byleth guys who's been using her since day 1 she's not as bad as people say, she can still sweep teams especially with all the new support, the community just think, "Not common = bad 🤓"@@ArataShizunai
+10 Eirika user here, I think she's A tier material. No Quarter solved so many of her problems. I've been using Flared Sparrow on her, but may want to try out Atk Spd Excel to see if that's better. Her nuking power and effective damage is just too good. She just lacks support, really.
Yooo i got a shoutout for b!chrom! I can put 10+ effects on him consistently, and credit him for my 2 masters A runs! And hes getting a REFINE soon. Thats nuts haha he can and will beat EVERY stat check. Crazy unit
I think people meme too much on Roy and tend to underate him because of that. With devourer and the resplendant he now a better Eliwood statwise and his offense stat spread make him a good PP or Galeforce unit imo ! I easily would put him 1 tier above, maybe even 2. I use him quite a lot and he do the job well for me ! Celica I would raise her 1 tier too. Her B skill, Celica ring (lol) and the modern skill make her a pretty good PP unit as well and she also function very well as a tank with her huge speed stat ! Overall it a pretty good tier list !
There are definitely builds where you can make him work, but unfortunately I personally don't think it is really worth it, especially with another similar unit. Celica honestly I was debating moving her up or not, but I was a bit skeptical I guess on her damage output.

I +10'd her on release and while she can still put in work, speed creep genuinely exploded into speed sprint the MONTH after she was released and it hasn't slowed since. Perhaps a more supportive build should be her thing, but it's such a shame she can't really make good use of her prf special anymore.

The fatal smoke part on b!claude doesn't hinder him as much since he had built in fatal smoke reduction on his refine for his heals, but yeah he still in a bad spot I do agree

Daunt effects is basically a short-hand term to refer to effects that lower's the foe's incombat stats, mainly attack. For instance, B!Edelgard's refined weapon effectively can apply 21 atk/def incombat to her foe at max value, which is a very powerful daunt effect.
edelgard is the meta near save in my mind so id put her in S gatekeeper has his issues but its the strongest anti we have which also qualifies him for S IMO seliph and robin should be in A because they're not refined yet
Hard disagree with Brave Ephraim. Garm is to this day a pretty solid weapon with the healing he gets and it harmonizes with Weaving Fighter because you get a follow up because of the Tempo in Garm and a ton of damage reduction. He's a beast as a near saver.
I'm not the biggest Brave Roy expert but I think days you probably run him as like a Melee nuke and have like No Quarter, A/S Excel, either Assassin Strike or Potent, and then probably either Alarm or incite.

I want prelude because he would be able to counterattack ranged unit, and If I wanna use excel I will need a trace effect so he can retreat safely. And alarm does have a good trace effect. So what do you recommend between Atk/spd Prelude and Atk/spd Excel ?
Brave Tiki is weird cause she almost has everything to work, she just lacks a lot of the wacky stuff that other units nowadays get. She has an amazing special jump gimmick to deny enemy specials and speed up her own with a res check, pretty good DR, and some good skill access in Laguz Friend, Scowls, Dragon’s Roar, and BoL4, but that doesn’t fix her main issue which imo is that her damage output isn’t really crazy. She can eat hits but she can’t do much back, she gets walloped by NFU, her damage reduction being based on a res check while good kinda doesn’t matter anymore as res stacking is prevalent now and it’s only cause of Lyon, it just happened to hurt her as well. When she gets a refine I’m hoping they grant her more damage or at the very least better debuffs on the enemy cause only getting +5 to all stats from her weapon when units are now doing stuff like -29 to every stat (Micaiah), it feels so empty. I really hope she gets Flat DR based on 20% of her Res or a debuff based on 20% of her Res.
Can we just like.. NOT rank Brave Roy in this? He's like the most useless legendary hero. In fact every version of Roy should just.. not be considered for any ranking ever.
I think you're being grossly disingenuous to brave ephraim. With all of the new skills that have come out his near saving is really good, he performs a similar or even better function than edelgard on defense. Granted, she does have the movement advantage, and I don't deny that she's better, but a 4 tier gap is just nonsense.
Edelgard is significantly better. If she didn't have her weapon then yes, however Ephraim is stuck running an Arcane weapon and neither one beats out Edelgards weapon. She is easily multiple tiers above him
You're not seeing the whole picture though. Yes, on paper flower hauteclere is better. In practice, you can have multiple partners feed debuffs for prima forcing either specific units or reduced action economy to compensate for damage if necessary, and prima itself enabling guard + tempo is a damning combination for a lot of unit's offense. Not to mention Ephraim's speed stat, clever fighter is significantly better than weaving/canny fighter for damage mitigation, and a lot of the units that would be cleaving through him regardless of that usually take out edelgard as well. Again, I'm not saying they're the same tier, but given his own stated criteria of these tiers ephraim doesn't belong anywhere near F.

Also you said it yourself he needs a team built around him to debuff enemies otherwise Prima is much weaker, while Edelgard can typically be put on any team and work well. Most units can't kill Edelgard, even a +10 max invest S! F! Shez struggles to kill and she is the most likely to do it. Ephraim dies to her unmerged and base kit. Edelgard is also much cheaper to build since she doesn't require an Arcane weapon and I will be honest that mine still runs Black Eagle Rule since I haven't pulled a Second Byleth for Weaving Fighter. Edelgard requires less investment and doesn't require a team to be built around her and still does the job better than Ephraim who does require all that. There is definitely a multiple tier gap between them
I only brought up teammates to support that the defensive gap between the weapons is not that big. You don't even necessarily need to build a team around it to make it better, you're almost certainly running one of or both of micaiah and or Heiðrun, so getting extra value is basically guaranteed. I don't think investment is really an argument whatsoever. Shez base kit also doesn't come close to killing ephraim so I'm not sure what you're pulling from, or whether I can have confidence in any of your math. Again, my point is, DTM said C tier was mostly units that you can probably make work, and I believe this is the minimum which ephraim would fall under. I don't think he's better, or on Edelgard's level, but just because she's better does not mean he's F tier.
@@cjsomebody2625 That math was from a duel simulator and Ephraim easily dies to her. Any unit in theory can work well just for a lot of them they are the worst at what they do. There are plenty of Axe armors that are better saves than he is. Edelgard and Mamori are two older examples and I would even argue that Surtr is still better as well. He is a workable unit but there are so many better than him that there is zero reason to ever do it.

i pulled for soren cuz of you and other FEHtubers, and i love using him, even in PVE moves. Very satisfying to give savior to non armors.

I think Camilla got a big buff with Far Trace Echo. That echo skill is exactly what she needed.

Hard disagree with Brave Ephraim. Garm is to this day a pretty solid weapon with the healing he gets and it harmonizes with Weaving Fighter because you get a follow up because of the Tempo in Garm and a ton of damage reduction. He's a beast as a near saver.

I'm not the biggest Brave Roy expert but I think days you probably run him as like a Melee nuke and have like No Quarter, A/S Excel, either Assassin Strike or Potent, and then probably either Alarm or incite.
@@DTMFEH interesting, but I hesitate with Excel and prelude atk/spd. I want prelude because he would be able to counterattack ranged unit, and If I wanna use excel I will need a trace effect so he can retreat safely. And alarm does have a good trace effect. So what do you recommend between Atk/spd Prelude and Atk/spd Excel ?

Brave Tiki is weird cause she almost has everything to work, she just lacks a lot of the wacky stuff that other units nowadays get.
She has an amazing special jump gimmick to deny enemy specials and speed up her own with a res check, pretty good DR, and some good skill access in Laguz Friend, Scowls, Dragon’s Roar, and BoL4, but that doesn’t fix her main issue which imo is that her damage output isn’t really crazy.
She can eat hits but she can’t do much back, she gets walloped by NFU, her damage reduction being based on a res check while good kinda doesn’t matter anymore as res stacking is prevalent now and it’s only cause of Lyon, it just happened to hurt her as well.
When she gets a refine I’m hoping they grant her more damage or at the very least better debuffs on the enemy cause only getting +5 to all stats from her weapon when units are now doing stuff like -29 to every stat (Micaiah), it feels so empty. I really hope she gets Flat DR based on 20% of her Res or a debuff based on 20% of her Res.
Can we just like.. NOT rank Brave Roy in this? He's like the most useless legendary hero. In fact every version of Roy should just.. not be considered for any ranking ever.
I think you're being grossly disingenuous to brave ephraim. With all of the new skills that have come out his near saving is really good, he performs a similar or even better function than edelgard on defense. Granted, she does have the movement advantage, and I don't deny that she's better, but a 4 tier gap is just nonsense.
Edelgard is significantly better. If she didn't have her weapon then yes, however Ephraim is stuck running an Arcane weapon and neither one beats out Edelgards weapon. She is easily multiple tiers above him
You're not seeing the whole picture though. Yes, on paper flower hauteclere is better. In practice, you can have multiple partners feed debuffs for prima forcing either specific units or reduced action economy to compensate for damage if necessary, and prima itself enabling guard + tempo is a damning combination for a lot of unit's offense. Not to mention Ephraim's speed stat, clever fighter is significantly better than weaving/canny fighter for damage mitigation, and a lot of the units that would be cleaving through him regardless of that usually take out edelgard as well.
Again, I'm not saying they're the same tier, but given his own stated criteria of these tiers ephraim doesn't belong anywhere near F.
@@cjsomebody2625 Even if he has cleaver Fighter he still takes more damage than Edelgard does. Also you said it yourself he needs a team built around him to debuff enemies otherwise Prima is much weaker, while Edelgard can typically be put on any team and work well. Most units can't kill Edelgard, even a +10 max invest S! F! Shez struggles to kill and she is the most likely to do it. Ephraim dies to her unmerged and base kit. Edelgard is also much cheaper to build since she doesn't require an Arcane weapon and I will be honest that mine still runs Black Eagle Rule since I haven't pulled a Second Byleth for Weaving Fighter. Edelgard requires less investment and doesn't require a team to be built around her and still does the job better than Ephraim who does require all that. There is definitely a multiple tier gap between them
I only brought up teammates to support that the defensive gap between the weapons is not that big. You don't even necessarily need to build a team around it to make it better, you're almost certainly running one of or both of micaiah and or Heiðrun, so getting extra value is basically guaranteed. I don't think investment is really an argument whatsoever.
Shez base kit also doesn't come close to killing ephraim so I'm not sure what you're pulling from, or whether I can have confidence in any of your math.
Again, my point is, DTM said C tier was mostly units that you can probably make work, and I believe this is the minimum which ephraim would fall under. I don't think he's better, or on Edelgard's level, but just because she's better does not mean he's F tier.
@@cjsomebody2625 That math was from a duel simulator and Ephraim easily dies to her. Any unit in theory can work well just for a lot of them they are the worst at what they do. There are plenty of Axe armors that are better saves than he is. Edelgard and Mamori are two older examples and I would even argue that Surtr is still better as well. He is a workable unit but there are so many better than him that there is zero reason to ever do it.
