Where I live in Europe you simply have to do it in order to be allowed in a shop and most have security for this reason. I have never experienced a public freak out of an anti-masker, just some protests. Well, we live in a free country and everyone can express their opinions. They just don't get to endanger other peoples lives with it.

for lupus vulgaris... using UVB (Narrow-band ultraviolet)... it isn't a typical skin care treatment one goes for unless it is for a health condition - whatever it is in the video, it sure isn't a medical treatment. As quoted by dear Dr. House "It's Not Lupus"
This is wonderful, the therapist is so gentle. I bet that cold hair cracking stuff would have felt good with the sauna warm body machine. Ice cold hair and warm toasty body would have felt good. I almost could feel the hair massage, just wonderful.
I love her professionalism and passion about beauty. I’m surprised she recommended a facial without looking at your skin . I am going to use some of her techniques she used in my own treatment room . Thanks for sharing !

How can she do all this for 57$? Where I live in Europe, the average for 60 minutes basic course (massage only, no treatment aperture) is 80€. I’m shocked that this is 90 minutes and with specialised therapeutic equipment and only costs so little. Here, Japan has the reputation of everything being super expensive so my mind is really blown reading that price tag 🤯
Maybe because in the western world taking care of your skin like this is seen as a luxury whereas here it’s a part of looking good and feeling good. There’s also probably more shops and available services.
@@lai.13 it’s true that where I live, there aren’t many shops that offer this. You can get massages at some sauna centre but those are massage only. For treatments, there are clinics and salons but they are rather rare. I guess it does indeed come down to the economical balance of demand and supply. Though it saddens me that here, we don’t pay enough attention to self-pampering. There would indeed be more options of both different money levels as well as different types/traditions/styles of self care menus.
I know! In the U.S any well known spa would charge about $200 minimum for what she did, and being that she’s NOBEL PRIZE recognized and clearly knows what she’s doing $57 is hella cheap. I know taking care of your skin in Japan is seen as a need rather than a luxury and I respect that but GET THAT COIN SIS, WE DONT MIND PAYING A LITTLE MORE.

I just adore the "work ethic" (for lack of a better word?) and the genuine kindness of these Japanese aestheticians. They seem to love what they do and truly care about their clients comfort and wellbeing. I feel like, here in the states, even if these services were offered it wouldn't be without hearing the aesthetician at some point complain. 😕

I have to tell my customers we get police patrols often to get them to wear a mask and even then they only wear it to place and take their order
I always feel sorry for the workers who check the QR-codes and the temperature at the intrances. People can be so rude 😖
